Good way to start my school year in 2002, my favorite driver wins and things start out well. I began my sophomore year of high school, was not the best year but I grew a lot from it.
I remember after this race thinking Gordon was going to win the title down the stretch then he crashed his car in practice and the engine blew on the backup car in the race next week. Then he never won another title :(

At around 3:25:35 I find it hysterical that as often Wally liked to bust Alan’s balls, Wally getting scolded here for not being correct is very satisfyingly-justified!
Rusty must have dropped a cylinder or something at the end of this race. His speeds were bad slow.. Even compared to those who didn't take tires as well.
