Wado was my favourite martial art of the ones I've trained in over the last 40 years. BTW- Otsuka is pronounced "oh-tska". My father in law is Japanese and he corrected me on this pronunciation years ago. :)
@vehaanrore540 did you know that they didn't want to class wado Ryu as a karate style because it's a mix of different martial art styles? Mix of karate, kickboxing, judo and jiu-jitsu
Great video, thank you. I'm interested in how to limit trolling comments on videos. I see this has 4.5k views and 10 comments. Do you monitor comments carefully?
@@timthenunesmaster Walter seaton a wado ryu practitioner and teacher from Europe was a wealth of knowledge on this style. Look up his videos, interviews with him online .
not in the UK anymore . many wado dojos are not using authentic wado ryu .more interested in giving courses that means learning fake wado .including the Academy and their associations in the midland ..
I would advise looking up Shikukai Karate Do, highly authentic Wado Ryu taught by Sugasawa Sensei. I've been privileged to train under Sugasawa Sensei for many years

Somewhere on the path, some may stray… makes it difficult sometimes to see which road is actually correct, and if there’s even a correct one 🤔
@nonenone1106 I have to agree! They are still around but very, very, very rare! Almost extinct! You’d be lucky to find one these days.
