Just wish Govee would get full apple HomeKit support instead of all the workarounds
I wouldn't call Matter a workaround. Essentially they are supporting HomeKit through Matter, which I think is fine. Unfortunately I personally have had some issues with some Matter over Wifi Devices. I do think Matter is the future in terms of smart home support. But there is still much room for Matter to improve, which I think it will continue to do.
FYI: for those thinking on buying, never buy a product based on future promises..They only deserve your money when they’ve gotten the work done

Great info. Where did you get the cool bookshelf from in the video?
I know they are "floor" lamps, but how cool would it be to mount it upside down from the ceiling? On the ground, it almost just looks like a giant toilet plunger.

I’ve started using a lot more Aqara devices. They are paired with Apple TVs and a home pod. I tend to get some offline issues from time to time. Would it best to use an Aqara hub for more reliable connection?

Unfortunately I missed the part about the Pro model not having Matter support. Now I have a good floor lamp with the Govee app to control it. Ugh!
I need a light up smart welcome mat for my home that says “Welcome to Govee Land”! That lightning effect with Govee would be cool if someone has those cloud ceilings. 😂😂 ❤️💪🏼😎👍🏼❤️

I am finding the same thing! Homebridge is the winner over Matter via WiFi by a long shot (so far). I just don’t understand why firmware allows Matter lights to lose the Matter connection yet still have IPv4 connectivity to the App.
Great vid, really swayed me, but dont know if i want the pro or floor lamp 2. As someone with so much smarthome experience, are there any trustworthy apps for mobile that are compatible with IP security cameras?

Hello, do you know, tell me their voltage, they are bivolt 110v and 220v
Just wondering more about the speaker. If I buy two of the floor lamps pro can I pair them with my Apple 4k TV to get surround sound? Or are the speaker a mono sound
There is no way to pair them to an Apple TV. They are basically the same as a standard bluetooth speaker. No AirPlay or surround sound.
I need two of the pros to complete my current set up I have the t3 lite and the 15 inch lite bars and I want one of the pros for each corner of the back of my living room to complete my dream view setup
Separate your WiFi network into 2 separate ones for 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. Then join the 2.4 one on your phone and then add the lights to Matter (think that’s what got their M1 strip working for me)
I wanted the pro just cause it taller and it able to spin the light part. Does the 2 talk then the OG version? Again thank you for always coming through with the reviews.
Yea, those are two features I love about the pro. By "talk to the OG version" do you mean sync the colors and effects? They both support the "DreamView" feature which allows you to sync devices together to display the same colors and effects on each.

I'm using the Govee-Homey integration, not Matter.
Can you pair the lamp pro with a bluetooth tv ?
What TV offers Bluetooth for output? Lip sync issues would drive anyone insane
