Ghost Town being removed is my biggest gripe with these re-releases. If you could learn how to fly the Dodo well enough to get there, it was a rite of passage. I'm guessing their thinking must have gone something like "OK, we know people can totally fly back here so let's fill in the other side of the hill and get rid of that floating city block. Oh, don't worry about that big hole behind the damn or that big floating square of water, those are what's REALLY iconic about this part of the map." FFS.
Ghost Town is actually where the first cutscene is taking place at the beginning of GTA III when they robbed the bank, don't know why they removed it from this version, but I'm thinking it might be somewhere outside the boundaries of the map. I was never able to fly the dodo there but using the tank with flying cars cheat was always fun, until you spin out of control to your death 🤣
@@Phillyppenes That was the approach I took at first, but ultimately found the Dodo more manageable. If you can master the Dodo you have the option of flying back.
I’ve noticed that you don’t have to take over a certain percentage of territory to progress in San Andreas any more. And you can no longer save photos you’ve taken to the gallery in SA.
@@go2hell746 But that now takes up memory and clutters your pc/console instead of just having it be something in the game gallery. It also makes it more annoying to take the screenshot as you cannot zoom in without the camera, but if you take a screenshot while zoomed in you'll have the white lines all over your screen. It also will mean your nice photos will now all have your HUD on display. It makes the camera pointless.
I mean technically it didn’t really serve any purpose because they only use it for the intro Cutscene in and that’s it other than that I mean they might as well just remove it right if they’re not gonna use it again
It’s the little details like this that make these games in my opinion. When those details end up going away or are changed and you can notice them that’s when a lot of the immersion is broken for me. Like the Confederate flag more or less being censored. It’s insane, a game about robbing banks and shooting people and the thing most people complain about is the flag? Just because of that I probably won’t ever buy these even though I was really excited for this trilogy. Also Rockstar trusted a developer with hardly any experience in making games put this together. I have heard that these are like mobile versions just with a fresh coat of paint. Why is it so hard for Rockstar to do these games right? They ported SanAndreas to the Xbox 360 a few years ago and it was just a mobile port out onto a disc. These games should have probably have had another year or at least 6 months.

The suicidal photographer was a bug, the pedestrian would pathfind to the nearest sidewalk, and because there were none in the area he would go in the direction of the nearest and would end up going in the water and drowning It was probably fixed

Weird thing about that 'blob town ' is that if you see it soon enough the houses out there actually are detailed a bit but for some reason the graphics out there just go all junky fast.
Rockstar had never before had the need to remaster their games as they are currently doing (the trilogy, and GTA V). They had always been known (at least until 2018) for releasing new titles. That Rockstar is dead, we all know it. Today's Rockstar lives on nostalgia and online. I'm sure that after this, they will remaster just as bad GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption 1 and Bully, instead of giving us new stories, and people will keep buying them and feeding those bad policies. Rockstar is no different from EA or Activision Blizzard anymore and that really hurts.
With GTA IV, the physics, characters and lighting is already pretty modern. Hopefully they just increase the resolution, lighting and textures. If they screw with the physics/NPC A.I., then I'll be pissed.
Rockstar revealed their true colours when they raped GTA Online for $$$, then banned creativity in RDR2 (doesn't let you do missions in creative ways), now this whole disaster with the trilogy just goes to show

I don’t really think it got removed unless they moved it to different locations. If it was removed then we wouldn’t have the intro cutscene. Also the village on the countryside isn’t really a ghost town because if we go on main island, we can see it at night. It just there for cosmetic decoration to make the game look more alive. I like it to be honest otherwise it might feel lonely lmao. I hope one day someone will find the ghost town hiding in the shadow. Hopefully someone will use mods to spawn or teleport there. The bugs in these games are all fun and games until you’ve grinded for hours only to get stuck in a mission where the only thing you can do is start the whole game from scratch. And in Vice City when you spend over an hour collecting the packages and getting to level 12 of the ambulance mission for the game to crash completely right at the end. This sucks! I want a refund!

Since modding community is now live you can ask or make a mod yourselves. There are already multiple fixes to the PC version thanks to the mods, because Rockstar doesn't care at the moment how the game performs. You might even end up with creating fan GTA SA Online version 2.0.
as per the pc version being removed, it actully violates several consumer laws, so if your interested, you could always sue. there is most likely going to be a class action lawsuit against rockstar held by those who pre-ordered the game. would make rockstar wake tf up

I love being able to see the whole San Andreas map too. It's beautiful. Honestly, the only thing that bugs me is the missing music. I understand it, but it is kinda sad that some great songs are missing. Some of my all time favourite bands are bands I heard for the first time in Vice City.

1 thing I noticed that was patched/ removed on sanandreas is, the bunny hop glitch where you primed your bunny hop and pressed fire weapon on release of bunny hop and it made you jump significantly higher

I'm playing the original San Andreas with around 30 Mods installed that improve the A.I 1- makes them harder and more accurate and they shoot from long range instead of running towards you and die before they reach you. 2- Rag Doll Physics and their enemies reacting to where you shoot them. 3- all kinds of Gangs all over the map and some of them shooting you if you're their enemy, reminds me of Vice City and GTA 3 or even GTA 2 where other gangs start shooting you if you're their enemy, makes the city more immersive and inteactive. 4- smarter A.I, you can talk and interact with all the NPCs all over the city and greet them and stuff 5- more realistic Gunplay, gives you recoil and less accurate shooting to make the game harder and more fun because it's too easy in default. and so much more, and there's so much more to Install without it having instability problems.

It's just as pathing glitch that was never fixed/updated. The npc will walk in a straight line until it finds a path, then it will walk on the path like normal, but the water is in the way and it drowns.
Been playing Vice city and haven’t noticed any more than 3 or 4 songs missing. People were reporting songs missing that are clearly not so I’m not sure 40 is a real number.

Playing these when they first came out made u appreciate when they came out with GTA 4 and 5 to go back to my childhood playing these games it’s nice they updated it with graphics despite some of there laziness in recreating some of the best video games to ever drop especially by rockstar
I’m at 70% completion on Vice city definitive. I’m hoping to finally achieve 100% on my favorite game of all time because any time in the past that I have attempted 100% the stunt jumps prevented me from passing and had one glitched stunt jump. Both on mobile and Ps4 I had issue with the stunt jumps so far my stunts have been working for the game save I’m currently at and I’ve completed all the hard ambulance, firefighter, and vigilante missions.

I've really been enjoying the trilogy on the switch, tho I've only played San Andreas. It's been a blast playing my favorite game from when I was young again, plus it's a trip to play gta on Nintendo. There's definitely a few bugs here and there (mostly looking at Caesar's fingers and invisible bridge), but nothing even close to game breaking. Overall I think the experience is great and I don't quite get all the hate, aside from the launcher debacle.

Honestly, the only thing that bugs me is the missing music.
I understand it, but it is kinda sad that some great songs are missing.

im pretty happy that i didnt instantly purchase the definitive edition. i definitely do not want it since a lot of the feel and atmosphere from the original games were straight up removed. I think its a good remaster but i personally just dont like how the game feels
So people complain about the draw distance in the trilogy, yet people don't mind the fact you can see the whole map in the mission Stowaway in the original?
there is a mod called 2dfx which legit removes fog from san andreas lol, so i dont know why people complaining about it but i guess its weird to see the entire map in hd like that.

1 thing I noticed that was patched/ removed on sanandreas is, the bunny hop glitch where you primed your bunny hop and pressed fire weapon on release of bunny hop and it made you jump significantly higher

I'm playing the original San Andreas with around 30 Mods installed that improve the A.I
1- makes them harder and more accurate and they shoot from long range instead of running towards you and die before they reach you.
2- Rag Doll Physics and their enemies reacting to where you shoot them.
3- all kinds of Gangs all over the map and some of them shooting you if you're their enemy, reminds me of Vice City and GTA 3 or even GTA 2 where other gangs start shooting you if you're their enemy, makes the city more immersive and inteactive.
4- smarter A.I, you can talk and interact with all the NPCs all over the city and greet them and stuff
5- more realistic Gunplay, gives you recoil and less accurate shooting to make the game harder and more fun because it's too easy in default.
and so much more, and there's so much more to Install without it having instability problems.
I think that the suicide photographer is a reference to Alfonsina Storni's death, she was an Argentinian poet and suicided the same way the photographer does. She walked into the ocean. There's a song called "Alfonsina y el Mar" by Mercedes Sosa, you should listen to it, is beautiful
It's just as pathing glitch that was never fixed/updated. The npc will walk in a straight line until it finds a path, then it will walk on the path like normal, but the water is in the way and it drowns.
You know how our best friends in the GTA games betray us? Rockstar has done the same thing.
Been playing Vice city and haven’t noticed any more than 3 or 4 songs missing. People were reporting songs missing that are clearly not so I’m not sure 40 is a real number.

I noticed in that same floating head cutscene that the pinball machine was changed from the real life Space Mission game to some generic original one.
The new houses in Shoreside Vale are actually fully detailed up close in my version, not sure why yours is different.

Playing these when they first came out made u appreciate when they came out with GTA 4 and 5 to go back to my childhood playing these games it’s nice they updated it with graphics despite some of there laziness in recreating some of the best video games to ever drop especially by rockstar

The mission Gun Runner in Vice City in the "definitive" edition PC version has a bug that makes completing the mission impossible.
Fun fact = The background music is the pause music from Saints Row 2 . Also very nostalgic and funny to play.. especially the uncut version.

I’m at 70% completion on Vice city definitive. I’m hoping to finally achieve 100% on my favorite game of all time because any time in the past that I have attempted 100% the stunt jumps prevented me from passing and had one glitched stunt jump. Both on mobile and Ps4 I had issue with the stunt jumps so far my stunts have been working for the game save I’m currently at and I’ve completed all the hard ambulance, firefighter, and vigilante missions.
I did it, I got 100%

I've really been enjoying the trilogy on the switch, tho I've only played San Andreas. It's been a blast playing my favorite game from when I was young again, plus it's a trip to play gta on Nintendo. There's definitely a few bugs here and there (mostly looking at Caesar's fingers and invisible bridge), but nothing even close to game breaking. Overall I think the experience is great and I don't quite get all the hate, aside from the launcher debacle.
My problem is the cut content from the og games.

I have played the mobile port of all the games. And I’m currently playing GTA SA Definitive Edition on Game Pass. It’s good, but it needs some fixes.
Exactly I mean it’s not a bad remaster to be honest with you I mean yeah some glitches here there they need to be fixed but you know they said that they’re going to fix them so we just got a wait I mean I know all the people may not agree with me on this but come on now these glitches get fixed and patch them back then wasn’t really possible due to the hardware limitations and obviously Internet wasn’t what it is today
