Love this! Just a thought, if you "glue" the fabric onto plastic freezer paper you would not have to use the liquid glue and the batting can be sewn on with the cover fabric.... I'm trying to figure out new way to glue without so much liquid sticky glues
Yess! Thank you for this reminder, I don't know why I didn't remember this but I have a whole video showing how I make book cloth. And that's a great way as well especially if you get the kind that's all sticky with the heat. Thank you for that tip❤
Oo yes! I made myself a journal using one of those bubble mailers not too long ago I think I did it for Halloween and I can't remember. But you're right it turns out so good and I like to hear the crunch LOL! Thank you 🙏🏽 🫶🏽
Oh my goodness! The covers are fabulous. Your work is so impressive, April. Kind of sad this series is coming to an end. I am behind with it, but not to far from being caught up. Thank you, thank you. ❤
Ahh I know friend! It definitely is sad but it also feels really good to have a whole completed series of that way folks can go back and re-watch it if they need to and it's up and available for new folks who might come across it! But I will definitely be coming back and we will do some more in the future! Thank you so much for hanging along throughout the series❤❤❤
I love the fabric choices. The patchwork and using one fabric, either way looks great. I am going to start calling you the eclectic queen. I am excited to see all the journals finished and all the ephemera. I want a 2 hour video showing every detail 😂. Jk 😜 ❤
😂 😂 😂 I'm going to have to do a live in that case. Maybe one of these times I'll do a series with maybe some small journals where we can go live and that way everyone can ask questions and chit chat in the comment section in real time. I think that would be really fun! Thank youuuuu 🫶🏽
Thank you so much! I have three tubs filled with all different kinds of fabric! It's my goal this year to try and use as much of it as I can😭😭 it's a weakness haha! Thank you! ❤️
I have really enjoyed these tutorials that have been longer so we can craft with you and be a part of your thought process. I hope you continue to make journals from start to finish with us! These are amazing 🩷🖤🩷 psst…. They sell Fabri-Tac glue at Walmart (and 2oz bottles at Dollar Tree, if you have that store in your state).
Whaaaaaa at dollar tree.?!? Oh snap. I didn't even know that! We do have the Dollar Tree here. Thank you so much for the tips! And I'm so happy that you've been enjoying the series so far and I appreciate your feedback as well it means a lot to me! ❤
I usually order my 3 in 1 on Amazon, and I've noticed they have limited stock. I haven't checked my local Michael's in a while. They have had good stock in the past, but you're making ME nervous now 😂
😂 😂 😂 😂 Oh my gosh I just cracked up! I'm so sorry I didn't mean to make you nervous. I don't know if you ever used to watch the show called monk. He would buy things in multiples because he was afraid that if his favorite one went out he wouldn't get it again. That's definitely my same mentality lol. I'm sorry I just feel like my Jo-Ann's is really never having it anymore. So I was nervous for my own self lol! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and I hope we all get our glue LOL❤❤❤
I have never tried this but something to try if doing a lot of fabric work that requires a temporary glue (like piecing together your fabrics on the cover before you sew), is spraynbond basting adhesive. Quilters use it apparently 😊 I love how your covers came out April. I wish my mind was an eclectic art mind...can you help my pattern matchy matchy perfection brain please?! 😂🥰 -Tia
Oh my gosh I never thought of that! I don't think I really even heard of that too much. Thank you so much for that tip that's a great piece of advice and I appreciate you sharing! That's why I love this community so much because as long as I've been doing this I still learn something new everyday and I'm so grateful! Thank you again my friend❤❤❤
Journals are so charming!! ❤
Thank you 🙏🏽 🫶🏽
Something about watching you work....🤌🏽*chef's kiss*
Likewise! I always learn something very art-y that I didn't know when I watch you! I appreciate you the most! ❤️

So beautiful ! There’s a great satisfaction when the signatures are all sewed in eh? ❤love that part
Oh gosh yes! It feels like 5000 pounds of your back once they are sewn in haha! Thank you so much 🥰
I love this look. Using bubble postage bags works well too.

You have a very lovely collection of fabric, I love how the covers came out.
