Thank you so much for this video. My truck exhibits the exact same symptoms. I was thinking it wouldn't be the tone ring since I get was getting an RPM reading, but this definitely seems like a plausible explanation of my problems.
Another great diagnostic video . Correct fuel pressure and rpm signal, no codes yet you go after injection pulse because of your observation of a diesel cranks good but no attempt to fire. You wont be like the first 3 shops and i see why. Thanks again for your effort and time in sharing.
Excellent diagnoses, I have yet to find many mechanics that are worth a dame at a dealer nothing but a bunch of BS and they actually charge you for their screw ups, You are good at what you do hopefully you charged them well for this

I am currently having a crank (than almost start) no start issue on my 2015 ED. No codes. I have AlphaOBD, and have a report but only from when the vehicle cranks since its not running. Any way I could get ahold of you before I tear into this thing? I will tip well.

Es difícil dar una recomendación sin tener el auto enfrente y hacer ciertas pruebas eléctricas y scaneo para ser preciso en seguir una secuencia de diagnostico apropiada
@@JoelAutomotiveInaction the recall reprograms the cam sensor to take the place of the crankshaft sensor. I'm not sure if it's meant to be permanent or just a way to stop a dangerous stall from happening.
@@JoelAutomotiveInaction FCA US will conduct a voluntary safety recall to update the powertrain control module software to maintain vehicle propulsion by reading the camshaft position signal in the event that crankshaft position signal is lost.
At that moment when I did that diagnostic was not even out the tsb , did not have any dtc , the local dealer did not find the problem since. There were no dtc , no tsb no known pattern failure at that moment , of course they do not finf any tsb, now is easy to find the info about thar failures
@@JoelAutomotiveInaction Well done. Usually we'll see a P0336. Also the PCM may need a flash update. The update will bypass the crankshaft position sensor and get the engine running. Once we see that we know it's the tone wheel. I liked your video. Very logical approach to a solution.

None of the one you mentioned, the video is about showing exactly and how to test it , watch the video there is the most complete testing procedure

I did no change any thing , they took it 5o the dealer , the crank shift reluctor was the issue
