Ha! I appreciate the compliment. Voice on here was from a much younger man 😂🙏 We've done a few more since then. What sort of topics would you like to see more videos about? Probably going to do a new content run in a couple of weeks once the new website is finished.
Thanks Jeams, i appreciate your reply, yes i found at the inlet pump's case edge little bit pressed to inside let me fix it than i will get back to you
@@BhaskarRoy-f1p hey there, sounds like you're using a fixed flow regulator, does it have an on/off knob? If so, make sure the valve is open the entire time, don't hook it till the unit till it is open. If I were you I'd recommend using a demand flow regulator instead
Hi My Gasalert Max xt ii is not blocking during start up other pump function works well and I have checked on the software the blocking function is activated. What should I do
hi, just want to ask why i can not calibrate my gas monitor even i do all your procedure. it always show h2s error and co but it reaches the span value. always the 2 sensor showing error thats why it indicates a failed calibration. tnx in advance
Hey Michael, no this one does not. The unit you're thinking of is the BW Technologies GasAlert Quattro monitor. It's a diffusion unit. Go to the IdealCalibrations page and check out the Quattro page for some more info. TH-cam won't let me link directly.
I would like to ask if this method call as calibration? Because my distributor said that I need micro dock to calibrate. Your method, they call only a bump test. Please advice.. Thank you..
Your distributor is incorrect. You can both bump test and calibrate a detector manually, with just the gas and the regulator. All a calibration requires is the steps in the video. Sounds like they're trying to sell you a dock.
Hey there. I don't have it for sale on our web store, but if you want to give me a call at 734-234-5042 I'd be happy to sell you one. Or email the request to support@idealcalibrations.com. Believe we have 1 or 2 currently in stock
I'd send it in to a shop at that point. Most likely you've got some water damage on the board. Welcome to send it to us if you'd like. Number for the shop is 734-956-0539
Hey Mohammad, sounds like your pump block is failing. Check the seal where your input and filter holder meet the back case. Usually if you unscrew this and remove it, you'll seem some damage to the back case. 95% of the time that's the problem and you either need to fix or replace that back case. Let me know if that doesn't fix it
Sounds like it's set for IR lock for calibration. Hook the unit up to Fleet Manager using the data link and remove that check box in the config and you should be set.
Unfortunately that does sound too slow. If it's a pumped unit, it's going to do less than nice things to the pump motor over time as well, because it's not flowing enough gas for the pump.
Hey Marco, you need to go into the options using the Fleet Track software from BW Technologies as well as the USB cord you buy from them. They're about $75 from what I remember off the top of my head. Once you're in there it's fairly easy. Email me if you have any questions from there.
For the one person that reads the comments you might find this funny. I was a green laborer running sanitary sewer. I had to calibrate this exact machine to sniff out the manhole. I thought that bottled gas was oxygen so my stupid ass took a few huge wiffs of it…I was like damn this oxygen smells like shit, I had 3 people smell it before I finally read the contents 💀

How much gas used for 1 calibration please?
The calibration takes about 2 mins and the flow rate is close to 0.5lpm, so I generally assume 1 liter of gas per calibration as a loose estimate.
Thanks Jeams, i appreciate your reply, yes i found at the inlet pump's case edge little bit pressed to inside let me fix it than i will get back to you
Hello sir i try to follow your procedure but whe i enter in calibration mode i get notification shown ( IR LOCK ON)
HOW TO UNLOCK?
Hey James, you need to hook it up using the IR link from BW and the BW Fleet Manager software. Someone must have enabled that in your config.
Does this have the green led on the top to show that it has been bumped and cal?
Hi James, during calibration, upon connecting the span gas cylinder, it's saying "Pump Off" and calibration is failing. Can you advise.

@@Idealcalibrations Yes, on/off knob with a regulator. Do I have keep it fully open? I just left it like partially open. Kindly advise.

Does this measure O2 above 30%
No, and any measurement above 25% is really going to be questionable with these monitors so far as I've seen.

witch gas the device catch?
Hey Hamad, this device detects Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Explosives such as Methane (CH4), and Oxygen (O2).
