    Shot my first deer with grandpa's 30-30 in 1956 when I was ten years old. Still out there with my bow every year and still bringing home venison at 76 years old.

    Thanks for doing this. I haven't been hunting since my step dad died when I was a teen. He set all this up, and I never learned all the ins and outs of setting up a hunt. Hope to get out this next season!

    Thanks for this and keep them coming! I’m 19 and starting to figure out how to hunt deer in California so any tips you can send our way would be awesome. I just drew a D6 tag for 2021, but I hear it’s pretty tough in d zones. I’d like to see a video on what to do after the hunt such as how to handle the animal after it’s been field dressed. Do you butcher the animal yourself? Do you hang the meat? Do you pay a butcher? Any thing helps and good luck next year!

    • @TLOMikeRogers
      @TLOMikeRogers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s awesome and thanks for the kind words! I butchered my own meat last year and I got what I wanted from it. I actually wanted to take it to a butchered but they were backed up so I had to figure it out and I ended up loving it! I’ll make a video a little closer to season on getting a deer out and best ways to process it after the kill. Good luck this year!

    Dont bash folks looking for info. They might be old and crippled and cant walk more than 100 yds on flat ground. They might be from the midwest where you dont have to search for deer because they're in your front yard. I gave up on CA decades ago. I go to my folks house in the Missouri Ozarks and go to the patio and POW or TWANG done deal meat in the freezer. Meat is the goal.
