Here's a new video to share.
On the program the fourth KATA of SHOTOKAN: HEIAN YONDAN.
27 movements - Kiai 13 and 25 - 50 sec
This video covers only a few basic and investment topics.
You will be able to see the KATA once slowly in sequence then quickly, then a focus on details aimed at improving your accuracy on a few key points.
- The first movement of KATA.
(with a reminder of similarity with HEIAN NIDAN)
- JUJI-UKE.
- YOKO-GERI KEAGE with the various placements.
- The rotation of the body for the trajectory before the 1st KIAI.
- How to prepare and deploy KAKIWAKE-UKE with your body and a minimum of effort.
- Some details on the end of KATA on SHUTO UKE.
There are many schools that can approach this KATA in a different way.
For this video the practice is that of the JKA karate school.
Remember what there are good things to take in the few elements presented.
A full video of the KATA HEIAN YONDAN would be much longer in order to address a maximum of subtleties.

Empece Shotokan con 56 años. En estos momentos tengo 63, mis comienzos fueron duros porque nadie creía q continuará en el tiempo. Practicamente tuve q aprender solo, y lo poco q me enseñaban era con malos modos. A pesar de eso me mantuve firme y no abandone. Nunca lo hice por obtener cintos. Lo hice porque siempre me gustó el karate. Mi intención es aprender karate y mejorar mi tecnica, ha sabiendas q el margen de mejorará es muy difícil a mi edad. Doy las gracias a grandes maestros q me encuentro en vídeos por Internet, me hacen ser positivo y seguir aprendiendo de lo mejor de cada uno de ellos. Un saludo para todos ellos. OSS
No siempre es fácil empezar a aprender kárate bien. Tuviste un gran valor para continuar e intentar mejorar tu técnica. En cada edad debemos ser capaces de encontrar lo positivo para poder progresar a nuestra manera. Buena suerte para ti. OSS

Bravo pour la pédagogie !!! Le découpage fin des mouvements, articulation par articulation est très explicite et efficace ! Merci pour ce partage tres riche. Je vais essayer d appliquer ces explications et de les transmettre. Petite remarque : l efficacité et la nécessité du pivot sur les 2 talons est démontré par sensei naka dans plusieurs videos disponibles sur TH-cam. Cordialement

Oui effectivement NAKA Shihan produits de très bons contenus et de très belles vidéos pour bien comprendre la technique et progresser dans le bon sens dans l'école JKA et même pour tous les pratiquants de karaté-do qui le souhaitent. Je m'inspire beaucoup de son travail qui est excellent. À très bientôt.
Excellente instruction tant sur le plan explicatif, détaillée presque japonaise j'aurais dit, et aussi sur le plan technique. Je parle en connaissance de cause, étant moi aussi instructeur JKA en Grèce. Ceci étant ma première prise de contact avec votre canal je vais suivre tous vos vidéos. Je serais contant de faire connaissance de plus près si l'occasion se présente. je fus élève de D. Lautier brièvement a la fin des années 80.

Je partage l'essentiel mais émets quelques réserves sur le shotokan qui ne fait rien en statique et ne modifie pas non plus le dernier geste collé au suivant avant d'avoir pris l'information. Tous nos respects.
