Question for the host. What if you fail these TEFL tests? Do you retake them until you pass, or do you have to repay for the course? Is job placement available? And if you were to teach abroad, is it common that your living expenses are paid by your employer?
So the 120 hours long one covers the full course curriculum, qualifies you to teach online, and allows you to choose two additional courses for specialization in teaching. It is the most common. The 150 hour long one has all of those mentioned above, but one extra specialization course. On the TEFL website I couldn’t find anything on a 250 hour course.

Hi 👋🏽You can use the top link to teach both abroad and online However, If you plan to teach abroad and you have no prior experience i recommend the second link because you get in class help, classroom footage, and also job placement. I recommend reading them both and seeing which one you think fits your needs and goals.

Hi Luis, 👋🏽 I am American. The TEFL certificate is available for anyone it's an online course. I took it to start teaching online and then I started traveling so yes you can take the course while living in the US or anywhere in the world. 😊
Not all companies ask for degrees however having a degree is preferred. You may be able to negotiate a lower salary if you do not have degree. Are you looking for a companies to apply abroad and online?

Each company and country is different however having an internally accredited certificate with ICOES is a must because they have met the International standards for teaching.

I'm currently taking the course that you mentioned but my oh my it's almost like learning a new language again because when we were growing up learning English we were not told about pronouns/antecedents etc etc It's a lot for me to take in having not studied anything for 30 years or so. Once this course has been passed how on earth do you even begin to TEFL?

Not all companies ask for degrees however having a degree is preferred. You may be able to negotiate a lower salary if you do not have degree. Are you looking for a companies to apply abroad and online?

Each company and country is different however having an internally accredited certificate with ICOES is a must because they have met the International standards for teaching.

Hey Christina, when you are done with the course, do they ship the certificate? I am already in China but the certificate has to be notarized by my country of origin.
Hi 👋🏽 you should be able to get the certificate online. Check the certificate tab at the bottom of the course modules. If you can't find it. There is 24 hour customer service on the website (right hand side with the notes) to help you solve any issue fast. Let me know if this was helpful

I'm currently taking the course that you mentioned but my oh my it's almost like learning a new language again because when we were growing up learning English we were not told about pronouns/antecedents etc etc It's a lot for me to take in having not studied anything for 30 years or so. Once this course has been passed how on earth do you even begin to TEFL?
