Wild Arms 2 was my fav wild arms. Kanon was my favorite character. The games that shaped me as a gamer was Sailor Moon Another story, Final Fantasy 7 and i think.. yea shadow hearts 2.
The only fighter game i really got into was street fighter 2 back in the day. I did play 4 every now and again when it first came out, but that was the last fighter i went out of my way to buy. Great video my man!
The first game I "got into" as a kid was Shining Force when I got a copy of the Sega smash pack for PC. I had no idea what JRPG and TRPGs were but I loved the game and it still holds up to this day. The tactical combat, the music, the RPG elements, hidden characters to recruit, the story, the design, it's so great.
I'm doing something similar myself. Giving each game its own video. I wanted to go in chronological order because when it was released matters. Playing FF7 on the PC is fun but if you went from 16 to 32 bit back in the mid 90s, it was a revolution. The camera angles swifted and zoomed. It felt like a movie!
Great video as always! You listed some very solid games, most of which I've never even played! I think for myself, I have had several games really shape me into the gamer I am today. Link to the Past and Super Metroid made me love exploration in games and sometimes just chilling looking around for stuff. It's why Skyrim resonated so well with me, for instance. Super Mario RPG introduced me to JRPGs, but it wasn't further solidified until I played FFVII, Chrono Cross, and finally cemented with Tales of Symphonia. But here's my fun one: World Class Track Meet for the NES. It got me onto the pad. I loved stomping and jumping on that pad. It and my love for music is how I ended up playing DDR. And from DDR, I moved onto the hand rhythm games like Guitar Hero, which I eventually moved into Sound Voltex, Chunithm, Groove Coaster, and others like it. All because I started stomping around on a pad trying to be a video game track athlete. That's how I ended up in rhythm gaming. lol
Nice choice of games. I haven't played much, if any of these games, but I plan on trying them at some point. I started playing games when I was 3 years old on my NES. Super Mario Bros 3 is the first game that I got the hang of and is the first game I finished. I was also obsessed with playing the part of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on NES where you drive the van around. I think those 2 games set me up to be a gamer 4 lyfe. My third pick is Metal Gear Solid. It was the game that made me realize how games could tell stories in ways that other mediums can't. It made me appreciate games in a way that I hadn't before and got me excited for the future of gaming as a whole.
Hmmm, this is hard to recall the first game as there was was a few all at once & even then there was also the PC games on floppy discs & using a joystick 😂 What raised me was the Super Nintendo with games such as Yoshi’s Island, Donkey Kong Country 2 & Killer Instinct. Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time is what made me realise that Video Games were my passion & being a gamer since I was 2 is my identifier NOW the games that define me to my twitch community are Kingdom Hearts series, Mana Series (Especially Trials of Mana), The World End With You series, Final Fantasy series & Tekken series. List those series & someone is bound to mention me in a conversation 😂
I really love your contents. However, I'm really having a hard time hearing your narration. Hopefully you can improve the audio of your videos. More power to your channel!
It's so cool listening to how fellow gamers have gotten into this hobby. Wild Arms FTW!
I love wild arms!
Wild Arms 2 was my fav wild arms. Kanon was my favorite character. The games that shaped me as a gamer was Sailor Moon Another story, Final Fantasy 7 and i think.. yea shadow hearts 2.
Yeah, Wild Arms 2 is still among my faves

I play all sorts of them but these days SF6 is my go to!
My first 3 jrpg games were FFVII, VIII, & IX. I was absolutely spoilt. 😂
That is absolutely spoiled! Lucky start for you! I think my first FF was 8.
Lots of great picks that shaped our little Cactus!

I haven’t played through a shining game yet. Next year that is my goal

Part of me wants to do that too honestly.
@@Shinky I'm 100% here for it!
Glad to have you along for the journey, I’ve been meaning to play Wild Arms 2 for a while now, this sounds like the perfect excuse
Great topic - I may have to do it sometime!!! Earthbound and Super Mario RPG come to mind as well as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time! :D
I knew earthbound was one, but I didn’t know ocarina of time!

Oh man I remember world class track meet! Good times!

Oh metal gear solid was revolutionary and Mario bros 3 is amazing! Great choices
Thank you so much for doing this bro! I loved your video so much. JRPGs were huge for me in the PS1 era!!
I meant to get to it sooner but I’ve been swamped haha. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Nice to hear your list of games! I've probably mentioned this on the other guys' videos, but for me it was the N64 era with Mario and Zelda ❤
Just a youngin’ haha. But I don’t blame you there. Those were both very solid games
Awesome picks in this video Shinky, although I'm kind of disappointed Dark Cloud wasn't included.
I’ve never played Dark Cloud. Kinda hard for something I haven’t played, to define me haha
Great to learn about our little big cactus!
I’m a deep complex individual!
There's some good games there, I was kind of expecting Street Fighter IV and it's nice to see Wild Arms 2. That is still something I have to get to.
Street fighter 4 is a major part of me growing up. Wild Arms 2 is a bit rough by todays standards but the music is great

The Super Nintendo is super influential on a lot of people I’ve noticed. Me included, especially link to the past

Any particular sections? Or was it the whole thing?
@@Shinky It was the whole thing. I'm not sure if it's just me or the audio is really hard to hear. Anyway, keep up the good work! 😁
Thanks for the feedback I appreciate it
