- This is a compilation of all of Tony's funny segments and interview bits from the Genesis documentary 'Come Rain or Shine'!! There are some pretty funny bits in here which I hope you all enjoy as much as me.

It’s cool to see a documentary from the eyes of Tony Banks. It gives you a different perspective of Genesis.
Banks is my hero and I’m a drummer,just love his inventive and unique keyboard sounds,playing and songwriting.

P.S. Really good to see the smiley, human side of Tony Banks too. Probably my favourite member of Genesis and still great looking too.

Phil did say in a separate interview that his favourite part of the tour was that they were laughing so much together. He said he missed it, and he was even surprised that Tony was as loose as funny as he was during this tour. I think if he hadn't had the health issues towards the end of the tour, he would've done some more shows with them sooner than he did.

Who's here in 2020? For me I've always loved Genesis, especially the albums from the 70s and 80s. These guys just ooze class and professionalism.......Will never tire of their music or presence.

10 million $ stage Mike's not happy with the curve.
He’s right about the varilights, that was the first time I saw them and they didn’t even use them for the first song or two. And suddenly these lights, a row down each side of the stage I think, all turned to point up to the middle or something, and it was the most exciting and dramatic thing I’d ever seen. Plus they changed color. Their use on that tour was so tasteful.
That was one of the biggest leaps in lighting technology ever. Much has been written about Phil's influence on the sound of the 80s, but little has been written about Genesis' influence on the look of every rock concert since they decided to fund Varilight R&D
No doubt about it Tony is still an absolutely gorgeous looking guy - every handsome indeed truly a stunner and I envy his wife the lucky lucky lady.
Your so right! I believe this is even more true because his tremendous talent.
Absolutely loved that tour. Saw them 9 times. They were really still having fun as well. Great times.

I'll never forget, while looking through a pair of binoculars, slightly behind stage, I saw Phil Collins spill a glass of water at a Genesis concert at the LA Forum around 1982 or 1983. will never forget it.

I love how every footage of them looking at the stage rig shows them staring up with whiplash effect because of how huge it is!🤣

Genesis always had a first class concert sound system and acoustics. Sound checks are a must.

Yes , Tony is cool! But in several interview s he very introverted person. Until this video because he’s with people feels very comfortable being around. That’s how it is for aintroverted person many times .
Genesis does not just create a song but also takes into account artistic lighting & stage decorations in every performance .. GOOD JOB TEAM WORK 👏👏👏

I only know Tony from his music. This shows some of his personality that is good to see.

I seen many pictures and video of Tony smiling and laughing.When feels comfortable with the poeple he around he smiles . He very serious about the music and playing of the of instrument. The video of Throwing It All Away you see Tony relaxed and silly.
Tony Banks was the seminal musician of Genesis.

Banks , c est vraiment le meilleur musicien que j ai pu voir en concert. Quand tu écoutes, tu as quitté la terre, tu es dans Genesis. Et il faut attendre 10 ans pour revoir cela.
Great band right the start with steve and pete prog years was great still great live went they went poppy nice to see them all back together and having fun didn't no tony could have so much fun great shows as always all great musicians good video of what goes on

Tony has a serious eye for lighting and stage design, if hes the one determining the line between good old genesis spectacle and theatrics versus going too far and being gaudy. Very few bands ride that line as good as Genesis did!
Mike at about 2:00 is all ready for a visit to the pub.

I always claim the same : there is no such thing as Gabriel era and Collins era ... Genesis has just one era.
very interesting to see the personalities behind the scenes but I would have liked to have seen more music clips. Not necessarily full songs just hear some of the music in these.
It's funny how Tony says the vari lites were amazing in the 80s but now are ubiquitous, when no one seems to use them to such stunning effect as Genesis themselves did in the 80s...
It was cool in the &0. It was new and they where the band developed it. Now you can do all that with computer.

You forget or do not know that the person submitting the idea is Mark Fisher (RIP) who has designed some of the most innovative and unique stages that have ever toured. Having worked on production crews and met Mark several times, I can truly say: He was not some coke head. See here: www.stufish.com/
sturoc0 yhea, his work is beyond brilliant. The Genesis and Pink Floyd stages he designed are my all time favorites. The Metallica stage is pretty awesome too.
What a beautiful atmosphere these three guys create... I am a fun of YES.... but they never seem happy...... never this kind of camaraderie

Ich glaube den Bandmitgliedern ging es in erster Linie immer um die Musik und nicht so sehr um die Präsentation und das ist auch gut so.
Effekthascherei gibt es schon genug - lieberQualität.

Oh dear, Phil's voice has gone down, over an octave, can't reach the notes anymore. Even with this they are still great.

Jay John it’s because they are used to stand in a line for eye contact. If the stage is curved then this is harder to do.

And they didn't even use it to it's full potential. The 92 tour has much better lighting cues.
Hin Bieger doesn't make sense. So expensive that they don't break even until halfway through the tour??

Hin Bieger ludicrous!! That tour was sad. Crappy set list, changing the key of songs to suit Phil's aging voice. Thank God he still kicks ass on the drums though.
Hin Bieger an alternate set list of lesser played songs would have been better IMO.
I used to love their stage and light shows, but this one just looks random and awful
