MAHISHADAL RAJBARI AND RATH YATRA || BANGLA

Mahishadal Rajbari is situated in west midnapur district of west bengal.There were three rajbari in this area but there was no trace of the the first one . the second palace was build in 1840 by janardan upadhyay . Now it is partially exist but almost demolished. The third palace was build in 1935 by sati prasad gorge. The palace is well maintained by the raj family.There is a museum inside the palace . The surrounding area of the palace is really beautiful. The ancestor of the king of mahishadal started rath yatra from 1776. It is still continuing with a very gorgeous way.
You may come Mahishadal palace from Tamluk station. It is in howrah--Digha line. From tamluk rajbari is only 18 k.m. From Mecheda It is 33 k.m. From Haldia station it is 20 k.m.
