Many choose the royal palaces of Bengal as a traditional weekend trip. That list includes Bawali Rajbari, Jhargram Rajbari and Itachuna Rajbari. And today's destination is Mahishadal Rajbari.
At that time Mughal rule in Bengal. Janardan Upadhyay was a high ranking officer in Akbar's army. He is a resident of Uttar Pradesh. Brahmin businessman. And that's why he came to Geonkhali near Mahishadal by river. Fascinated by the beauty of riverine Bengal, I want to live here. He bought the kingdom of Mahishadal from the then king Kalyan Ray.Later, the size of the palace continued to increase. This palace is made up of three palaces. The name of the first palace is Rangivasna. The second is called Lalkuthi and the third is Phulbagh. However, not all palaces are open to tourists. Tourists are allowed to stay only in Phulbagh.
Tourists cannot finish seeing that flower bug in one day.So Mahishadal Rajbari has the facility of overnight stay.Currently, the Garg family is in charge of looking after this palace. There are three types of rooms available for tourists. It also has the touch of an ancient palace. Room rent starts from Tk 2,000. The most beautiful room in Mahishadal Rajbari costs around Tk 8,000. Besides, if Mahishadal is in Rajbari, there is nothing to worry about from breakfast to dinner. Rather, there is an opportunity to eat traditional Bengali pada in the style of a zamindar's house. Food is served on white stone tables on brass plates. To save this experience, Mahishadal Rajbari should be booked in advance. Mahishadal Rajbari has two more traditions. Rath Yatra and Durga Puja. Rangivasan Palace is closed for tourists throughout the year. But Durga Puja happens in this Rangivasan. Then guests are allowed to enter here. And if the chariot of Mahishadal goes to Rajbari, it should go there during the chariot journey. Besides, you can go to Mahishadal Rajbari at any time of the year. Photography is prohibited inside the palace so we couldn't show you the inside well.

How to go:
Distance from Kolkata to Mahishadal Rajbari is only 110 km. After passing Nandakumar Junction on Bombay Road for 8 km you will reach Kapasiriya Junction. Rajbari is just 5 kilometers from there. If you want to come by train, get down at Mecheda station from Howrah and take Haldia Gami bus to Kapasiria. Rajbari is just 2 km from there.

খুব ভালো উপস্থাপনা 🙏 যদি কিছু মনে না করেন কয়েকটি বিষয় জানার ছিল, যেমন
ঘর বুকিং না করে ,শুধু কি লাঞ্চ খাবার ব্যাবস্থা হয়,
সরাদিন ঘোরা ঘুরি করলে ছোটো বড় কারো না কারো অসুবিধা হতে পারে ,toilet 🚽 latrine এর ব্যাবস্থা আছে ,
