I was a senior in college in 1972 and Ron Holden was one of the acts in a big oldies revival concert in Fresno CA at the Warner Grand. He came out and knocked this song out of the arena. What a performer. What a memory.
louis young isn't this great, just rock and roll at its purest and most natural. This song is just raw soul from start to finish. It's a shame a talent as apparent as Ron Holden couldn't follow this up with another hit.

My brother died in 9/11 Dominic M. A beloved boy who was beautiful and loved his family with all his heart Jumped 10:04 AM R.I.P He jumped with all the 200 people who died in the attacks of sep 11 I hope I'm able to see his face again and his in safe place now

This song was being recorded in a home recording studio only two blocks from where I was going to junior high school and I never even knew it until years later even though I was a huge fan of the song and of all the pop music of the day. I always knew it came out of Seattle but had no idea it had happened right under my nose. I would have so excited as 14 year old to watch this record's beginning. Just love it.

The great golden era of rock and roll not to mention unforgettable music ever. They sure don't make awesome and wonderful singing talents like they used to be.

My Dad used to sit out side Jack in the Box on his lunch break with Mr Holden Singing this before it was a hit. He told my dad one day it would be a hit and it was. It was an incredible how Holden got started

He had a heart attack in Mexico in 1997 and died. He was only 57.
