Make more video on keyword research
I’ve never blogged before but this video was very informative. I appreciate you taking the time to share. I’m thinking of starting a blog in music, parenting or maybe both niches. How often would you recommend a new blogger posts?
Glad it was, thanks for watching! And a lot of experienced bloggers I know get new sites up and running ASAP by getting, let's say, 50 posts live and letting the site sit a bit to see how Google responds. But there's nothing wrong with posting 1-2 posts per week or when you can based on your schedule and doing the same thing over a few months. The key is consistency and proper keyword research / topic research I think. reading more about SEO is always a good idea too. Best of luck!

Hey! Love your content. Saw you mentioned the Pinterest strategy you tried didn’t work, for the finance niche. Do you think a parenting & lifestyle niche would perform better? I’ve been working on creating content since I am just staring out.
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words :) I know some bloggers who are finding success on Pinterest in niches like food and parenting. I think travel and lifestyle can do well too. Writing decent pin descriptions is more important now from what I've heard. I hope it works well for you!

I was curious to know, how long does it take for Google to index a new blog post after you publish it? And have there been times where Google didnt index a blog post of yours or took a long time doing so?
Thank you! :) And great question. My understanding is that websites have a "crawl budget" of sorts, with larger websites getting crawled more regularly. This makes sense since Google wants major news and big sites to get content out there fast since it trusts them. These days, many of my posts get indexed in a few days, although it can take a few months for rankings to climb. When starting it's not unnormal for indexing to take longer. Sharing on social, link dropping on reddit, and submitting the url to search console for indexing request can help though!

I was also wondering, have you and your writing team implemented AI and ChatGPT in any aspect to speed up content creation and keyword research? And have you used any writing tools like Jasper, and SEO tools like Surfer SEO to improve the quality of your blog posts and to gain higher Google rankings? If so, do you recommend these tools to writers/bloggers or do you feel it's risky and could result in a Google penalty?
@@jollyjames30 No worries :) and not at the moment. I know how to use the tools, especially from some previous work experience, but I'm writing a lot of review content these days which requires a lot of primary research and testing, so it's faster to do myself based on what I know haha. I think new bloggers should focus on their real life experiences and EEAT signals to be trustworthy to Google and readers. AI is less of the issue but if it leads to pumping out content that doesn't demonstrate EEAT, I think it's asking for trouble. Just my opinion though! Thanks for watching again.

What SEO practices do you advise for bloggers? Or is it better to focus on EEAT as opposed to building backlinks? Do you do guest blogging to build links? I suggest using Sucuri and also regularly updating plugins and keeping plugins to a minimum if possible

I think blogging can certainly make $1,000 per month. It took me more than 1 year to reach that amount, but I didn't know any SEO in the beginning. Best of luck :)
