I have a shredder from Craftsman with the Briggs & Stratton that you're working on when the motor is not on the machine the shredder the engine works fine when the machines put together it don't get to the gas
I have and MTD Chipper shredder with a 5hp Brigs and Stratton engine, just like this. I would like to order parts but I cannot find an engine number anywhere. If there was a sticker its long gone. Help?
It's on the recoil should, you'll see sets of numbers pressed into the metal, maybe 3/8 of an inch high. but if I remember correctly if you just buy the "briggs pulsa jet carb kit" it will fit any pulsa jet carb, it is a universal kit and will have parts you don't use.
My favorite place is parts tree, but I've also ordered the kit from Amazon, Ebay, Jacks Small Engines, and directly from Briggs & Stratton. The kit is Briggs & Stratton 495606 and 494624. Parts tree's website is very easy to look up via Model, Type, Code of your engine. You can buy only the carb to tank gasket but usually if I'm doing it I'll just rebuild the carb while I have everything apart.

I didnt see any carb cleaning/adjustment as adjustment screw should have been removed for cleaning in my opinion
