I went to Denner shop in Denmark a few years ago, and I found that Magick of Mercyful Fate that was lost with the professional money making Bands/Brands that are touring around the world ! All Hail Denner !
I was always intrigued by the Flying V shape after seeing both Schenker & KK play them.....took me a while but I've been a proud owner of a Gibson Flying V for many years now & it's still one of my best guitars: rock solid, no nonsense, just pure screaming tone & simplicity; stays in tune well & looks METAL
I'm glad this channel showed up in my feed. Consider me a new subscriber! I've got a V addiction I can't shake. I currently own 16 of them and have owned dozens over the years.
It's nice to see how different players across several generations follow their heroes from their youth and try to get closer to them. And so Michael Denner is happy to have an original Gibson Flying V with original pickups to get as close as possible to the sound of his legendary guitarists. I, on the other hand, am trying to find a Japanese Flying V guitar from the eighties, including DiMarzio Super Distortion pickups, to get as close as possible to his "Don't Break the Oath" sound. I haven't heard anything better since then. And I am extremely sorry for what his former teammates have done to him in the past months. Without his participation, today's lineup has lost that original and unrepeatable Magic for me, although of course I still see King Diamond as my favorite artist of all time.
