Hi so this might not help, and I know I'm not as good as him, but I just want to try and help you anyways. So, a like term is a constant or coefficient with the same variable, or no variable. They are two or more numbers with either the same variable, exponent, or both have the same variable and exponent, or two or more numbers that have no variable or like term. Examples: (ex.) 5, 3 (ex.) 5, -3 (ex.) -5, 3 (ex.) -5, -3 (ex.) 5n, 3n (ex.) -5n, -3n (ex.) -5n, 3n (ex.) 5n, -3n And the same with exponents. I hope that helped!
I literally have an exam in a few hours this teacher helps a lot. I enrolled into nursing school after graduating 13 years ago. This is such a nice refresher. He explains it better than my professor 🥹🙌🏽
Hello Mr.J im learning this right now in my school….so it would be rlly helpful if you’d answer dis question. In the beginning of the video question number 2. 8 (2m + 6)…and you simplified it, but is it optional to plus the simplification in the end? Because sometimes I may get confused…so it’s better for me to do all the steps…
Hi Mr. J - I love your videos! One question about number 3 - why did you show -2 x -7 = -14 in the first example, if we know that a negative times a negative is a positive? Is it because 7 has a variable beside it? Thank you!
Hmm a test I took online to test myself had an answer written with the variable at the end. Like -24+7x but I had wrote 7x-24. I thought the variable goes first in the answer. Other than that i got most correct after watching this
✅ Thanks so much for watching! ✌✌✌
How do i solve my math because it has not same variables

I started binge watching your videos, thanks. Question, when you say "like terms" how do you determine the "like terms"?
Hi so this might not help, and I know I'm not as good as him, but I just want to try and help you anyways. So, a like term is a constant or coefficient with the same variable, or no variable. They are two or more numbers with either the same variable, exponent, or both have the same variable and exponent, or two or more numbers that have no variable or like term. Examples:
(ex.) 5, 3
(ex.) 5, -3
(ex.) -5, 3
(ex.) -5, -3
(ex.) 5n, 3n
(ex.) -5n, -3n
(ex.) -5n, 3n
(ex.) 5n, -3n
And the same with exponents. I hope that helped!
Thank you so much
