    Chris been waiting for this upload! Congrats on doing so well on that race. I raced Santa Cruz this year as well and those rumble strips made me lose all my gel packs!! Thankfully a kind rider behind be offered his gel packs to me after seeing my fumble. Congrats again on a great race!

    Your videos were definitely part of the inspiration for me to train for a 70.3 myself. I did a solo 70.3 last weekend in 6:09. I can work on speed and enter an event in the coming months!

    Majorly impressive, nice job! I've been really enjoying your videos as a lead up to my third ever 70.3 this weekend in Kerrville, TX. Daniel with YT has been working hard to get me ready and I'm feeling good! Your experience with the rumble strips gave me some PTSD like flashbacks though; my buddy and I took part in RAGBRAI this year, a bike ride across the state of Iowa over the span of a week. When we were two miles from the finish line, a guy in front of me hit a set of rumble strips causing his phone to fly off his bike, which bounced once before hitting me in the face at about 25 mph. I give those rumble strips a wide berth now.

    Love the idea of high protein oats - maybe I’ll do some overnight oats recipes when so go back to work 🤔 I’m all for easy fast meals when I’m back to work + training + baby

      Proats are so good and so are overnight oats. Hope all is well with the new little one.

    Great video, consistent training is the answer to gains. Someone once said if you must have immediate results, then this is not the sport for you. Lol. Great recap!

      Thank you! Consistency is so much more important, but so hard because, like you said, gains in this sport can be slow to show, but stick with it and they will come.

    Are you thinking of doing a full Ironman anytime soon?

    • @CjayeMedia
      @CjayeMedia  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would like to do another ffull in the future. It's about 11 years since my last, but at this point I don't feel I can dedicate the amount of time I would want to train without sacrificing more time with my family. When I girls are a little older I will most likely do one again.

      Full vs half training is night and day. I had to wait for my kids to get married before I could do a full😅 sub 5 is crushing in. Congratulations Chris. Very impressive
