If they put the rails closer to the map edge, somebody would probably notice. I have 23k battles and never knew there was a train going around the Lakeville. Nice catch tho, eagle eye.
With the zoom out mod I've been looking around and some of the maps are pretty beautiful on the outside, aswell as unnoticed things, Himmelsdorf has a port with a battleship, Karelia has a castle and so much more, look around a but!
On Outpost map there are some wild boars running around and chilling in the mud and on the Halloween event on the Pilsen map there was a house at the starting of the battle with two legs like Baba Yaga :)
This reminded me like in crossout on the sinto city map there is a monorail. It is pretty normal. Until it crosses the edge of the map. The train contracts, with carriages overlapping and flickering from polygon clipping. It stands still for a moment, and then expands back. Poor passengers in that.
Indeed and maybe Ensk too with that giant freight yard in the middle. The giant Gustav cannon that’s on steps should also be a dynamic object like every so often it fires at random locations on the map.
I have to admit as a War Thunder player, WoT deserves so much more credit for its graphics and simulations. Then again, is it really that hard to just model a tube?
Why model the tube if no one would see it? The train is visible, but no valid player position on the map would allow them to see the inside of the tunnel
Do you want a tube to cover it up or do you want to edit the polygon mesh of the whole mountain so that it doesn't clip through it, and then is it worth the extra processing when you can't see it.
@@ryansampey It's world of tanks, at this point a 3rd generation i5 wouldn't take much of a hit from a low poly tube in the side of a mountain that you can't even see. Most people in this game barely even knew of the train, so why have that in the first place?
Maybe one day we can move from map to map by following the train tracks. It would be... Imagine spawning from a train tunnel under fire because some idiot fired his gun alerting the enemy. Go see 'Kelly Heroes' when Oddball gets the jump on that German/French railway station

I used to play WoT a couple years ago (didn't get further than rank V i think), anyway I play War Thunder now and Ive been thinking on downloading wot again. Hows the game in 2023?
It has a lot more mechanics, and they smoothed out a lot of things in the game, but there are a lot more toxic tanks in the game now that promote gold ammo use. It can still be fun at lower tier, but higher tier requires gold ammo and good crew/equipment to remain competitive. I'd still recommend giving it a shot, they give rewards if you've had the acc 3 years or more too.
I swear I hate the Lakeville map not because its a bad map its because it scripted and WG dictates the way you should play it. It is Dictated for heavy's to go valley and brawl hull down in the middle with Td's in back sniping. Dictated so the lites and med's go lakeroad and "ACT LIKE" spot tanks which there is no such thing. I personally see no reason no matter the mode to go valley if everyone on map went town side they caps are completely defendable from their. Both spawn caps are completely in wide open and you have to come up and out of valley to cap. If you go A8 and K9 you will have cover and anyone trying to cap will be in open.Y Yes I have always noticed the train. So sick of these maps made for stats versus play. every damn map in the game has a stat position. A specific bush for a lite to hide in a corridor for heavies to brawl in, Something else I have always notice if you look past the play borders of most maps you will see some of the best terrain you would love to fight in. As I have always said yo put lipstick on a pig its still a pig and thats my theroy on WG map making skills. Every single map in the game their map same build protocols. 1 start with a corridor for the heavy's must be long with optimal one way in one way out no flanking options 2 then add hill for snipers and sometimes heavies to they can waste first 2 mins of game climbing hill and then die on top watching everyone else that didn't climb hill die. 3 them perfect placed bushes for lights to hide in at start of game long before half the team even has 1 round loaded and so they can complain about why no one took a shot at what was spotted so they can get "SPOT DAMAGE" just wow Spot damage think about it you rewarding someone for seeing the the tank but not shooting it and you call it damage.
If they put the rails closer to the map edge, somebody would probably notice. I have 23k battles and never knew there was a train going around the Lakeville. Nice catch tho, eagle eye.
I have 7k battles, I play since 2018 and I noticed the train in my first battle on lakeville.
How did you find that?
Over 90k battles and I never saw it either. Only recall tracks on Westfield and one other map who’s name escapes me
this is news to me & ive been playing 10 years lol
You guys are surprising me a lot how you didnt notice that thing before 😂
haha think exactly the same just whit 14k battles and play since erly 2013 xD
Didnt even know that there was a train xD
Same here
I didn't know either 😂
There are also boars running around
@@jakubc4582 and sheeps..

I've just watched three minutes of a train crossing a map without anything unusual happening.
The unusual thing is there's a train on the map. Most people don't realize

That spotted sound notification would drive me insane.

How does one do this
On Outpost map there are some wild boars running around and chilling in the mud and on the Halloween event on the Pilsen map there was a house at the starting of the battle with two legs like Baba Yaga :)
Front to Ivan, back to the forest? :)
the house who has two legs were anywhere in the mode, not only in pilsen
Where are the boars on Outpost?
South side near town after the border of the map
The boogeyman?
10 years of playing, never notice there was a train exist lol
I always wanted like easter egg rewards for taking out locomotive or shooting down a plane in WOT, but alas, none.
Or shooting the Zeppelin!

there are moving pigs outside the borders in outpost, in the north side

30 k battles and I see this for the first time, thats why my ping goes up and down
It's cool that WG took the effort to render a NPO that no one really notices 😛
thanks for that. now i have a deeper understanding of the game :)
should be used for the dynamic maps thing in 2023
Indeed and maybe Ensk too with that giant freight yard in the middle. The giant Gustav cannon that’s on steps should also be a dynamic object like every so often it fires at random locations on the map.
Thats the Train from "back to the future" right? With that floating skill 😂
that train is doomed to derail if we look at the other maps
In outpost map you can hear some chickens near the buildings where tds can position against light tank.
Rails? Where we go we need no rails!
I would like to buy this train set.
