My friend redemption comes upon our believing in our heart that Jesus, His only begotten Son, came to this world to live a life of sinlessness, fully man and fully God, to die on a cross for our sin, was buried, and rose from the dead for our redemption. Redemption comes to us when we are born again by faith in Christ and his full payment of all our sins. You don’t have to wait for redemption it comes upon your belief im Christ as your Savior. It is then that you are imputed the righteousness of Christ. It is not earned, it is a gift from God to those who believe in His Son.

I researched Goliath's height on Google and it came to 7 feet 9 inches tall. And yet Robert Wadlow was 8 feet 11 inches tall which made Robert Wadlow 13 inches taller than Goliath.

How is it good to imply that God failed? We’re blessed with the New Testament because of sacrifice for us, but it’s important to understand the beginnings and the journey with everything from death to exclamation to get a real and wonderful insight. This runs all through the bible, the majority were lost in the flood, majority on the wide than on the narrow and majority will be lost than saved, so majority has never been the determinant that mean people are on the right path, whether it concerns truth or life. What is truth is what is biblical true as the word of God. Angels were created by the Lord (Heb 1:10) and they're his sons and Adam was also created by the Lord (Gen 1:26-27), so he is also a son. Moses who is the inspired author of Genesis 6 would well be aware that the "sons of God" weren't only angels but pious men who had a special relationship with God from the time when men began to call upon the name of God, as he wrote for God saying, "And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord." Gen 4:26. Men cannot call upon the name of the Lord unless they're being led by the spirit of God. We see the apostle Paul declaring in Rom 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God". And we see in Gen 6:2, when Moses wrote "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose". Michael Heiser, who recently passed, was instrumental in bringing people to an understanding of the subject of this video. I came into the faith without any preconceived notions and so the little "g" gods (plural) wasn't as difficult a thing for me to understand. But Heiser really helped to clarify the subject of the created spiritual entities of the heavenly realms. Without that understanding, passages such as Genesis 6:1-4, Psalm 82:1-8, Ephesians 6:10-12 and 1 Peter 3:19-20, just to name a few, are very difficult to discern. The modern day Church seems to have drifted far away from the realization and teaching of the created spiritual entities of anything except for an occasional mention of angels. Some Churches even try to explain away Satan, so it is key to follow scripture and to find a solid Church fellowship which at the very least recognizes both the Gospel and that Satan is not just figurative, but an actual existing entity and force.

So, I set out on a search in my area and found a very solid Gospel-based Church that teaches the Word of God, verse by verse. And now I am part of a fellowship that gathers weekly to support one another, that reaches out to the community and who sing praises to the Lord together, which I help to lead as a bass player in our worship group. So, in spite of my initial resistance, now I know why our Lord calls us to corporate prayer and worship. So, there's no risk in it for you or anyone as long as you use discernment in your search for a good Church based on the Word of God. My criteria was finding a Church that conducts expository preaching, supports grace and salvation through faith alone and that the Church understands the real nature of the enemy. I got it all in the Church I found and then found the importance of corporate worship (singing together to the Lord) which is every bit as important as the sermon, so we play only biblically sound hymns and songs. Sunday is now MUCH more than just a day off for me.
Whether people believe Satan is real or a figurative thing doesn't really matter. The point is that people blaming Satan for their sins are using an excuse for their own actions. Whether they were influenced or not, they still make their own choices.

I think the Anakim in Canaan to whom the 10 out of 12 spies from Israel were the 30-36 foot tall variety of giants. The kind rumored in Greek mythology. Maybe even taller. Goliath, at just shy of 7 ft., must have been very intimidating to behold since the average Israelite male of those days was 5.0-5.3 ft. As for, "Pride goeth before a fall": it's actually, "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall."

FYI, a "cubit" is traditionally considered to be 18 inches (the length from a man's elbow to his middle finger) and a "span" is traditionally considered to be 6 inches (the length of a man's hand). So if those figures are accurate, Goliath's height would be about 9-1/2 feet tall! (6 x 18 + 6 = 114 inches / 12 = 9.5 feet)
But that's myopic since it's only as per the Masoretic but the older LXX and the older Dead Sea Scrolls and the older Josephus all have him at 4 cubits and a span: just shy of 7 ft.

This runs all through the bible, the majority were lost in the flood, majority on the wide than on the narrow and majority will be lost than saved, so majority has never been the determinant that mean people are on the right path, whether it concerns truth or life. What is truth is what is biblical true as the word of God. Angels were created by the Lord (Heb 1:10) and they're his sons and Adam was also created by the Lord (Gen 1:26-27), so he is also a son. Moses who is the inspired author of Genesis 6 would well be aware that the "sons of God" weren't only angels but pious men who had a special relationship with God from the time when men began to call upon the name of God, as he wrote for God saying,
"And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord." Gen 4:26.
Men cannot call upon the name of the Lord unless they're being led by the spirit of God. We see the apostle Paul declaring in Rom 8:14 "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God". And we see in Gen 6:2, when Moses wrote "That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose". God's response to the situation pointed towards men in the context of his sons, not angels, and God said in vs 3,
"My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years".
In Gen 6:4, Moses penned the writing, "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown".
Which shows Moses was well aware that the existence of giants in those days weren't the results of a so called forbidden intermarriage & procreation between angels & humans.
Sin made the human race children of disobedience but it was shown that Abel was a son of obedience and God promised that the woman would bear a seed whose lineage would have enmity against the seed of the devil in Genesis 3:15. In Exodus 4:22, Moses under inspiration wrote,
"And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn:"
And going again, in 1 Chronicles 28:6, Solomon is called the son of God. So God even called kings of Israel his sons.
This stands as a nail in a sure place in spite of what majority of Christian commentators may conclude or what you claim you have proven. READ Luke 3: 23-38 which gives the lineage of the sons of God from Seth to Jesus, and vs 38 concludes,
"Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God".
It can be also said that the original, traditional, and majority view among the earliest Jewish commentators is that God is only the Father, the revelation, life and ministry of Christ has shown us differently. Truth is in the word of God, not in the ideology of a majority and when in doubt, this is what stands as the truth.

Michael Heiser, who recently passed, was instrumental in bringing people to an understanding of the subject of this video. I came into the faith without any preconceived notions and so the little "g" gods (plural) wasn't as difficult a thing for me to understand. But Heiser really helped to clarify the subject of the created spiritual entities of the heavenly realms. Without that understanding, passages such as Genesis 6:1-4, Psalm 82:1-8, Ephesians 6:10-12 and 1 Peter 3:19-20, just to name a few, are very difficult to discern.
The modern day Church seems to have drifted far away from the realization and teaching of the created spiritual entities of anything except for an occasional mention of angels. Some Churches even try to explain away Satan, so it is key to follow scripture and to find a solid Church fellowship which at the very least recognizes both the Gospel and that Satan is not just figurative, but an actual existing entity and force.
The key is to avoid churches at all costs.

And now I am part of a fellowship that gathers weekly to support one another, that reaches out to the community and who sing praises to the Lord together, which I help to lead as a bass player in our worship group.
So, in spite of my initial resistance, now I know why our Lord calls us to corporate prayer and worship.
So, there's no risk in it for you or anyone as long as you use discernment in your search for a good Church based on the Word of God. My criteria was finding a Church that conducts expository preaching, supports grace and salvation through faith alone and that the Church understands the real nature of the enemy. I got it all in the Church I found and then found the importance of corporate worship (singing together to the Lord) which is every bit as important as the sermon, so we play only biblically sound hymns and songs. Sunday is now MUCH more than just a day off for me.
I promise that you won’t be sorry!
Whether people believe Satan is real or a figurative thing doesn't really matter. The point is that people blaming Satan for their sins are using an excuse for their own actions. Whether they were influenced or not, they still make their own choices.

FYI, a "cubit" is traditionally considered to be 18 inches (the length from a man's elbow to his middle finger) and a "span" is traditionally considered to be 6 inches (the length of a man's hand). So if those figures are accurate, Goliath's height would be about 9-1/2 feet tall! (6 x 18 + 6 = 114 inches / 12 = 9.5 feet)
But that's myopic since it's only as per the Masoretic but the older LXX and the older Dead Sea Scrolls and the older Josephus all have him at 4 cubits and a span: just shy of 7 ft.
Yeah and the average ancient Israelite male height was only five feet literally so a 6'9 Goliath makes more sense
