Ray Liotta’s serious girlfriend was paralyzed after she was a stunt woman on one of the Canonnball run movies that starred Burt Reynolds. It was the movie production’s fault. He did not leave her , he stayed with her for many years until I think she asked him to go on with his life. I always remembered that about him, and I saw a picture of him holding her in the swimming pool, laughing after her accident. I wish there was a cure for spinal injuries. I think after the accident he stayed together for 8 years. I think she since may have passed away. I think he is a guy that tries his best. So many people run when something happens, so I remembered it.
I came here right away after the sad news. Had to see the interviews again. He seemed to be such a sincere and lovely person. The way he told about going shopping with his young daughter and bringing her to the taping. Rest in peace dear Mr. Liotta. Thank you for your wonderful work in cinema.
Yeah, same here. My favorite role was Goodfellas like most of us. It was extremely unfortunate I saw on ET news like days before his death, hundreds of people/fans bashing him for not waving hi or signing autographs. Ripping him apart. He was filming!!! He was in character mode for next scene etc. It was OBVIOUS! Plus may of had no time for interruptions while in the set. I think ET removed it because I looked for it to bitch everyone out when he died. Especially most comparing him to Johnny Depp, to which is pathetic. Anyways... He'll be missed. Sensational actor! He's the reason why Goodfellas was so successful!!! Nobody could even come close to doing a better role than he did!
This was not a great interview. This was awkward as hell. Craig's unprofessionalism and unpreparedness shows his style. It was dumb as hell to approach Ray Liotta (A man known for his social anxiety) like an amateur. Pathetic.
No forced conversations with pre made up stories, nothing. Just two guys having a casual conversation. Ferguson is hands down the best talk show host ever.
I can't believe it either, he was so respected and popular that his death has stunned and affected a lot of people. A very shocking moment when his death was announced and nobody wanted to believe it.
@@dragonfly6908 yeah it's very sad about Ray i remember his first film i can't think of the name but Melanie Griffith and Jeff Daniels where in it it was on 80's film 📽️ really good im gonna find out the name of it . Really good film
@@i.marr.6688 The first time i became aware of Ray was when he starred in the film "Goodfellas" and the next time i saw him was when he played the charming, helpful but sinister Cop with a psychotic streak in the film "Unlawful Entry". I am hoping that the film "Dangerous Waters" that he was filming has enough footage of him to be able to complete the film, it has a great storyline.
@@dragonfly6908 His first film "Something Wild " is really a good film it was directed by Johnathon Dimme who also made the film Blow which Ray played George Jung ( Johnny Depp) and he was in another film where he is sent to a Prison Island i can't think of the full name but Escape is on the name . He was good in Copland, he was a great actor who will be missed by many
THIS is pure gold! I miss Craig. These two guys are impromptu geniuses. Sending condolences to Mr. Liotta’s loved~one. Thank you for sharing Ray with us. “Bubblegum Gang”….of course.
The crazy thing to me is that every time I see Mr. Liotta, it just strikes me how beautiful he is. Can we say a man is beautiful? I don't even know what it is about him that makes him that way, to be honest. He also seems quite darkly intelligent, if that makes any sense. Maybe that's why he's so attractive.
I love Ray Liotta!!! He is truly a one of kind. An amazing actor! He became one of my favorite actors of all time when I was a kid and I watched him in Fields of Dreams. His talent is so diverse. Incredible actor!
Love Ray Liotta. If you're a fan, watch the movie Inferno (also called Pilgrim). It's classic Ray, complete with murders. He was also awesome in Sly Stallone's "Cop Land".
Ray had the most unique laugh of all time! He was born for Goodfellas! So sad he passed in his sleep without a chance to say goodbye to anyone. Great actor, decent man.
Craig is just so keen and sharp as a tack. The man is brilliant and not given enough credit. He is just too fast at times. I used love to see his show and then went off the air. I guess he was just too good, unlike the morons that pass as nightly shows today.
What a fantastic guest, he had chemistry with everybody. We miss you, Ray. I'm so sad he's gone, he was so underused these last few years. It was you, Ray.
I wonder how many people know this but Ray wasn't Italian or Sicilian. He was abandoned at an orphanage and adopted at 6 months of age. He really is Scottish. I wonder if Craig ever knew. Rest in peace, Ray.
Bro, you know how radiant Craig gets when he talks to Scottish guests, I can imagine the absolute vibes if he only knew! Ray ain't a squealer so he kept it cool and stoic with that info, apparently.
Ray should be seen as in the same league as the likes of De Niro and Pacino etc. It’s too bad he never really became an A-list star like he deserved. He’s put in some awesome performances in supporting roles and cameos
He did milk the 90s for all it was worth and he was a big star,it was just wellintended but unfortunate bombs like Corrina corrina,Unforgettable (which i like)and Operation dumbo drop that held him back a little. When he was unbilled and eating his own brain in Hannibal 2001,it felt so beneath him and like the ride was finally over...then he did Narc the next year and proved to those willing to see just how good he could be. But hannibal and killing them softly where he gets beaten up so bad,he is crying and then Pitt just blows his head off...movies with great directors and casts that did nothing for him. As performances go,his Figgsy in Copland might be my favourite. Whatever moral complexity that film has,its all embodied in him. Im really gonna miss this guy, thank god he left so much for us to enjoy.
I decided to forward this video to my mother so she will see my deceased brother in Ray's face hopefully she will be happier, is incredible how some people can look so similar. RIP Ray RIP Louis
Love both of these guys...Craig so much better than the pathetic Jimmys, and he's head and shoulders above Colbert (who thinks he's a lot smarter than he actually is). As far as Ray, what needs to be said. A big screen icon. God has a real guys guy entering the pearly white gates today !
6:07 Ray has the sequence reversed: FIELD OF DREAMS was 1989, GOODFELLAS 1990. 6:50 MUPPETS MOST WANTED (2014), MUPPETS FROM SPACE (1999). 15:58 THE IDENTICAL (2014).
You know I’m really amazed at how much sometimes we don’t appreciate the talent that’s in this world. Ray Liotta wasn’t one of the best actors, but he definitely was a convincing and effective one, which made him great with the roles that he played. He will definitely be missed.
Ray Ooooses 'Heavy Mobster' by his pure prescence. Normally, when guests on CF's show, say... i.e.: "It took me a 12 years to come out". Craig would - by pure - INSTINCT(!), investigate that personally, free given statement, to the inner, innerst core, secured by the fully extent of the law, to understand what, why and so forth... In this case, he did not dare to! And I fully understand him! I would not neither! 🤣
RIP Ray, you were a classy guy, and a fantastic actor, you will be so missed by us movie fans,
Ray Liotta is one of those guys who has a I'll fuck you up stare but is actually a super nice guy with a heart of gold.

Awesome. Thats real integrity
I liked it, and I'm a pretty harsh judge. Came in with no expectations though.
foxibot Great story, thanks!
Really, wow, I did not know that.
He met Heidi von Beltz after she was paralyzed. He dated her for about a year, then broke up with her.

This is such a great interview. So sad that we will never see Ray so happy and having fun like this on screen. Rest in Power Ray!
The film "Dangerous waters" which Ray was in the middle of filming has a good storyline, i think he would have been great in this film.
This was not a great interview. This was awkward as hell. Craig's unprofessionalism and unpreparedness shows his style. It was dumb as hell to approach Ray Liotta (A man known for his social anxiety) like an amateur. Pathetic.

Liotta's eyes... That's what makes him both wickedly dangerous & beautiful all at the same time.
Ray is my all time favorite actor ever! He so rocks!!!
mine too...
Thanks the timeless laughs, Mr. Liotta. You really were a funny guy.
Absolutely love him in
"Something Wild"!
That film was 100% awesome, and I think his name in it was Ray . It was i think his 1.Th. film and one of his best.
*I MISS YOU DEAR RAY LIOTTA.*
we will never forget you.
Never 😢
i can't tell if he's having a good time or not, plus he's got the most sarcastic laugh ever lol!
he's so intimidating & loveable at the same time!
He really was a Goodfella. Will be missed.
Such an intense man. You get the feeling he may punch your face, at any time.
True, though that's probably all part of the reason why he secured the Goodfellas role
He just has an understated sense of humor.
Rest in peace Ray - the nicest hard man anyone could ever meet
Ray is really funny with Craig...one of the best show times ever
11:28 this was by far the BEST reaction from a guest to Geoff, EVER!! “shut uuup!” 🤣🤣🤣
i've watched like dozens of Craig's late lates and I haven't laughed that much until this one
Yeah that's the absolute best interaction with Geoff and a guest lol
great actor, nice guy, and will be so missed, he did so many great films
RIP Ray one of my favourite actors ever!! So sad 😞
Ray is so funny! Silence is more powerful than words when executed with perfect timing.

I love him in Indentity
Such an awesome movie and I think it’s underrated and not widely enough known.
OMG 😃 loved Ray's laugh haha ❤️
RAY LIOTTA I MISS YOU SOOOO MUCH
Craig Ferguson is so funny. He makes Ray Liotta funny, which he is obviously playing his scary personna
Well done Craig for showing us Ray's sense of humor.
I've wondered for many years if that asshole laugh he does in Goodfellas is real or not, now I know.
I truly admired Ray as an actor, and if ever I'd need a Big brother he'd be absolutely perfect.
Funny, real. Love them both.
Besides being a great actor, he was so funny and cool. RIP RAY

Funny you say that. I was thinking the same thing before I read your comment. He would have made an excellent Hannibal
