This is kinda like idea #7 and #9 but one of the ideas I used in one of my levels was to use the boomerang so the spike jumps over holes in the ground so it can destroy some hard blocks that are in the way at the end

I wish they would make the spike have 2 different kinds 1 that throws spike balls the other that throws spike rollers (3D world) and just give spike rollers the spike ball physics and make spike balls be able to bounce off walls instead of being destroyed kinda like in nsmb2 still able to activate switches and break blocks but can kill thwomps if they are big cuz why not?
I have alot of recomendations but this has been on my head ever since the spike ball came out

1:03 you didn’t even need to bring the spike ball, you could’ve thrown a boomerang and activated the switch 🤦🏻♂️
You can't throw the boomerang inside 1block gaps at ground level.
In the water theme you can't even roll while crouching, so that on/off switch can only be activated with the spike ball
