If you wanna take off the nail polish use some baking soda and get a toothbrush and scrub it off bonus tip: use a toothbrush with slightly hard bristles I used this method on my monster high dolls and it did wonders

For example , I literally took black and purple nail polish and painted on a short hair cat, the blonde one from Lps popular. I had no clue she was a rare pet. And I took a grey collie and painted it completely black. I have always regretted painting them😀😟😬

I actually like the zombie dog one, sometimes to create a similar effect to what you did I will use watered down acrylic paint. (havent done it with LPS but with other things like boxes, and I've seen it as a way to add shading on action figures) I think if the eyes were repainted and if he had dark eyeliner and/or some darkness in the mouth area it would look more finished and therefore good. The pattern/texture reminds me of an old stone statue with a bit of mud.
i once made a drawing with my own blood, the drawing was a vampire girl, though that would be fitting, it actually turned out pretty cute ngl only problem is that i needed more blood so i made quite a deep cut on the side of my arm and i still have a faint scar there, i mean i have more scars but this one has a story XD i dont know why i told you but hey, i did

I can definitely confirm nail polish ends up sticky on LPS. I've only done two custom lps, they were two identical bats from the dollar shop. One I used metallic nail polish bc I wanted a robot look, the other I used acrylic paint to make him gray instead of lilac and add smudgy black eyeliner and a complete redo of the eyes, repainting the full body except the wings that were dark purple already. This one held up for years and has only needed a small touch up on the back of his head. Still in perfect shape now. The other one is going to need a bath in acetone because the robot bat is super sticky. Idk if I'm going to keep the robot theme with the repaint or if I'm going to go with something else. Also beware of krylon sealant spray on Monster High dolls, it will make them sticky. It doesn't make resin, Our Generation dolls, or porcelain sticky though.
11:07 I got some really stubborn nailpolish paint off of really small creeks from my violet collie by giving her a boiled water bath for 10 mins and *very VERY carefully* scraping off the paint with an exacto knife! All came off and it looks as good as new!!
I remember I wanted to remove one of my cow lps's eyes because I wanted to customize it. Thank goodness my mom didn't let me. That would have scared a little kid who bought it (which I regret selling because I want them for the nostalgia)
When i was a kid i ruined three of my authentic lps. One of my favorites being I think boxer #83 with diamond eyes. I cut her ears off and tried "sculpting" her new ones WITH PLAY DOUGH!!! And now looking her up on ebay, most of them have circle eyes... I hate my past self aghhh
