Hello, starting point is ACCA global website and getting registered as a student. Then, seeing if your HND (if in Accounting) earns you any exemptions.. after which you register for the first set of exams you wish to write.

So far in your studies,would you say both papers complement each other, I mean, are they really linked that you can say pairing both of them will give the student an added advantage? @@rafaykhan3816 I was giving ACCA exams along with another competitive exams.Till SBL I passed my exams in one go so i took the exams lightly.I studied all BPP books.The main mistake is I was not giving importance to professional marks.In my second attempt I came across the video, Dino Sir's pdf is a lifesaver. I wrote mock test and made me comfortable for the exam pattern and setup.Make sure give a mock test.It will help you a lot.
Giving SBL next week. It’s my last exam and hoping everything goes well. SBL is something else though. Lots to grasp as I started to study in January. However, loads of marks can be gathered using common sense only which I found it tricky to apply in some exhibits under exam pressure.
@@coachbetsy Thank you. Regarding time allocation, what approach worked best for you? Writing within the overall time allocated for Task 1 or budgeting time for each sub task within Task 1 e:g Task 1a, Task 1B etc..

This video just helped me make a choice. I opened the Kaplan text and saw over 1,000 pages. With roughly 3 months and 2 papers to write, it’s almost impossible to cover the entire text. Thanks for the heads up Betsy!

Did you complete EPSM module before doing SBL? I’m booked for SBL exam this December but I have to do EPSM as well and I’m concerned I don’t have enough time to do both.
U can write in any order as per ur interest . Most of the people start with SBL because it's easiest to pass in the ACCA p levels so u can start with SBL. But SBR is also a really good paper to start with since it's also easy to pass although syllabus is wide. But i would not suggest starting with optionals unless u r really confident. I can't say much for APM and ATX because i chose AAA and AFM. Never give AAA as ur first P level unless u r attempting it with SBR which is what i did because AAA requires lot of accounting standards knowledge which u will be thorough in provided u r either giving SBR with AAA or already cleared SBR. I started P levels with SBR and AAA in dec 2021 sitting and it is a good combo of papers. And if ur like really confident in financial management then you can start with AFM which is really interesting paper if at all u want to start with optionals. Hope this helps .

I find AFM difficult since it doesn’t have anything in common with any of the P papers, added that it’s also the most technical. Taking SBL and AFM next week and if all goes well… SBR and AAA in Dec

Advice is start with the one you’re most sure of passing. It gives you confidence… If you must merge, APM-or AFM-SBL and SBR-AAA are good combos

I am a CA from India and only need to write those last 4 papers. In What order I should write: Essentials first or Optionals?
