glyph killing spree - use it quickly on pull (ss, slice, ks) you get one more killing spree right before submerge if done properly. glyph fan of knives stand central with AR BF and FOK spam - I don't try to cleave with my melee attacks during BF. that's the best advice I can give. I don't stagger my trinkets on pull. Parsing anub is unusually difficult because the top 0.5% are skipping submerge and cutting minutes off their killtimes.
Also don't forget combat is at an extreme disadvantage in the last phase because prey on the weak is not active, making it extremely difficult to do good damage in general.
Heyy man, is it worth keeping 5 CP on Icehowl before charge to get big rupture at the start and then just Evisc? or maybe pop big rupture right before his crash and then focus on Evisc through his valnerability ?
im kinda confused with the 110 energy. You glyph vigor as standard glyph or you get the vigor talent instead of something else? Id guess glyph vigor as standard, and swap the other 2 according to each fight? Im asking cause in none of your guides or discord or wowhead you recommend something like that
Depending how much expertise he has it may be in place of the expertise talent. On my rogue I currently only have 1 point in it but I am also benefitting from the Orc bonus expertise
Hello! I talent vigor I take 4/5 lethality in the assassination tree (same row as vigor) That one point of lethality sims at like 40 dps. I sacrifice some simulated dps for a bigger energy pool, which helps prevent me from capping energy in moments of downtime or while waiting for trinkets to proc. Definitely preference, vigor and lethality are both low-impact talents.
Can you explain what happened at 4:00? You vanished the knock back, and then the guy who was being targeted, what did he do to not be charged? Was it another rogue that vanished or something?
you can see the skull marker on the guy who was targeted - icehowl will end at the location of the targeted player. mage ice block, pally bop, rogue vanish -- these can cause him to target someone in the middle of the room, and he'll end there
@@nutwzrd amazing, I knew the rogue vanish but not all the other ones! Now does he go into that extra damage phase if he doesn’t charge and crash though? Seems like a dps loss there but I could be wrong
he gets stunned still, just the location is wherever his target was. Usually it's against the wall because most of the raid is there, but it doesn't matter the location.@@Thatdudewiththedogs
Hey, thanks for the clips :) Are you delaying your blade flurry on twins to sync it with BL because your kill timers are sub 2 minutes ? Also on Anub when you flurry fok, are your normal auto attacks connecting with one of the adds or do you just go in the middle and fok on 4 ?
I was mostly testing one blade flurry in lust (which made it so I didn't have to swap to the bad target for the shield) as opposed to 2 blade flurries but not stacked with lust. This seems to be a resilient 99ing strategy, but the top end would be worse. For parsing you probably just want a 2:20 killtime and a second blade flurry. On anub I fan 4, I don't get blade flurry triggers from my melees. Possibly relevant if you care: this anub is like rank 2 or 3 for killtimes that did not skip the submerge, so it's a sound example.
I'm noticing on Rank 1 logs that a lot of raids are just stacking the worms and lusting and some of them still save Lust for Massive Crash on Icehowl. Is there any reason why this seems to be something that's optional?
@@Winkx Ah, so if a group can't kill Icehowl lustless on the first crash, it's not really worth trying to Lust + cleave the worms to kill them before submerge? I have a strong feeling my group won't be able to kill Icehowl in 1 crash without Lust, haha.
It entirely depends on the kill time and strat. If your kill time is generally 2:20+, then you’ll want to use BF right at the beginning so that it’s available for a second usage. In this case, the rogue’s kill time was 2:19, so there’s an argument to be made about using it at the start. But, at the same time, they appear to have gone with the strat of lusting when Darkbane casts Twins Pack, so that they don’t have to switch essences, and lose dps by having to then switch back. Combat rogues benefit a lot from this strat because they’re not one of the classes who gets their dps neutered by attacking a Twin of their same essence. BF on Lightbane will still allow you to do max dps on Darkbane’s shield.
Which glyph I replace would depend on the fight. SND is kinda nice but not required. Beasts - KS EA SND Jar - FAN EA KS (replace KS with SND if your kills are above 2:05+) Twins - EA SND KS (replace KS with SS/AR if your kills are above 2:05+) Anub - FAN EA KS All of these are my personal choices, one single glyph might vary from here, y'know? Especially if your guild is struggling AT ALL - you might make some different choices like tricks glyph.
The reason is your raid does not give a long enough pull timer to sync trinkets Also I've done it both ways and this is the anub where the add positioning was good, which is a bigger factor than layering my stuff
I vanished, mages blocked, warlocks received bop - all of these people are scattered around the center of the room, instead of being stunned. Icehowl will end his charge at the location of the targeted player (at the moment they were targeted) - so he'd end right in the middle if he targets me. RNG though.
I am over the white swing cap 😢 578 hit is displayed before the 5% from combat talents, so I'm actually hit capped for real (just how my gear worked out)
haha yeah... go look at anub, we have a prot warrior and the boss stayed at 4 stacks for a full minute! also, I often try to burn KS as soon as I can to get the second one sooner I do agree there's room to minmax this, like holding KS for a couple globals. Sometimes there's nothing you can do though, gotta use your CDs to get the next round
Honestly idk - I just didn't like rupture glyph in previous phases because it's useless on trash by default... I know it sims better, I just recall myself getting cucked on certain timings, getting into an energy hole of sorts. It has been a long time since I glyphed rupture tho Maybe I'll give rupture glyph a whirl sometime! I think that longer slice is more value for fan of knives situations (aka trash in most raids, not togc)
Sims assume perfect play, which none of us are actually capable of. SnD glyph allows for more errors and actually sim higher in fights with lots of target switches like jaraxxus.
I don't remember because this video was a while ago (I have more gear now) The description has a link to the Warcraft Log which shows my gear if you want to check I know I did not have boots/cloak/necklace/Death's Choice, but I was geared outside of that (weapons, tier)
It's a bit late in the phase, so I've seen several other TOGC guides out there that I think cover everything. I'm more likely to upload long-form content like a vod or log review, voiceover or something. If you want something specific, let me know exactly what you mean?
