      @@Andjelka99 ABBA of course was singing completely in English, and maybe created a new kind of pop music, so that is different. But in terms of quality, I think they are comparable. I am not saying they will have the same commercial success, but I am sure they can sell out a Worldtour next year and sell many records so that they never have to work again :-)

    Coraline was abused by her father, nobody helped her and she killed herself.... a very tragic and sad story...and it's real....

    • @anja200
      @anja200 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      She didn’t kill herself, Damiano in interview said that he talked with that person about that song

    • @Claxen11
      @Claxen11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I confirm. I think the castle where nobody will hurt you at the end must be some organisation to help abused women meaning she did manage to get out of that situation. The abuser for me could be even an husban or boyfriend bc she talks about a lost pregnancy and searched love that wasn't love. The part of the father for me, represents a weak family that won't help her. A father that does nothing in front of the suffering of his own daughter, meaning she has no back and place to escape too until she finds out about the castle.

    • @raffaeletadiello2233
      @raffaeletadiello2233 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the castle with high walls is a cemetery in Rome which is called “The Castle”, Damiano said that it’s up to the fans to think which person can be coraline… The most popular ipotesis are: 1 her girlfriend that is actually alive but she has some kind of illness; 2 a fan/ a mother of a fan tell them this story of her

    • @Mariajbh2
      @Mariajbh2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The song tells the story of his girlfriend, she confirm it in an Italian TV program (her name is not really Coraline but Giorgia). She suffers from a disease that is not very well known, although much more frequent than what is known, which causes her a lot of pain and the doctors paid no attention to her, they said that it was all in her head, for that Damiano said "tell me your truth". And she had family problems, her father abandoned them, etc.

    • @leno_o17
      @leno_o17 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      He literally said she's alive. Already in 2021, before it was revealed it was about his girlfriend. Why people don't want to listen what the authors are saying...

    In their lyrics it seems like they carry tens of years of experience...it’s crazy that they are in their 20’s.
    You have to react to Torna a Casa (“Comeback home”) and Moriro da Re (I’ll die as a king)...the videos are aesthetically gorgeous...I don’t think they have a bad song, to be honest...Check out Vent’anni (20 years) and Le parole lontane (Distant Words) as well...

    Everything you find around about the meaning of Coraline is 10% what Damiano said (that he lived through the story as a spectator, and made it into a metaphor and will obviously leave the real story at that; and it's about a knight who tries and fails to save the princess etc.) and 90% speculation based on the lyrics. I think the song speaks to lots of people, no matter what the real person actually went through (and maybe it's best left alone); leaving her aside, the focus is on the guy who wishes to save her, but real life isn't a fairy-tale.

    What I love about that song is that as you read, you can have so different interpretation! I saw a comment on another reaction and the person was seeing the castle at the end as an asylum, while I was seeing it as a coffin. Also, it's very rare for me to cry when I listen to a song for the first time but with thid one I did. The way the lyrics are written and the vibe of the song make me relate so much!

    Great reaction, very sincere, as this amazing song deserves. I do agree that everyone is entitled to interpret the lyrics his/her own way. I cannot get over the fact that the music is always slightly simplistic, but has such a pure sound - why is that ? The clarity of the guitar always strikes me, as well as the baseline. It always sounds like an 'understatement', but then steamrolls over you.....emotionally. Truly amazing. I recently submitted my vote on the best album of 2021 so far (The Guardian newspaper here in the UK), and clearly for me it is 'Teatro d'Ira' . Almost all songs are absolute class. I love both English songs - maybe 'For your Love' even most. My favourite Italian song is (impossible to chose from the album) is now 'Vent'anni' - again, the lyrics are a masterpiece. Please react to the Lyrics Video of Vent'Anni.

    The song describes in a fairytale way the real story of a girl who is abused both psychologically and sexually by her father and who, in the ending, suggests that the girl dies ... the final text of the song, the part of the castle, is a very strong metaphor .... a castle with high walls represents a place of isolation or even a prison, a mental institution .... but the part of the walls is the one that reveals the ending ....
    "Le han detto in città c’è un castello
    Con mura talmente potenti
    Che se ci vai a vivere dentro
    Non potrà colpirti più niente
    Non potrà colpirti più niente"
    "They told you there is a castle in the city
    With such powerful walls
    That if you go to live inside
    Nothing can hit you anymore
    Nothing can hit you anymore"
    In prison or in an institute there is no peace.
    "the castle" where you can find peace, serenity, a place of rest, a place where there is no longer suffering or pain ...
    think of the walls that delimit the cemeteries here in Italy, think of the peace and silence of those places .. the powerful walls where everyone finds peace..

    This lyrical ballad has some of the deepest and most tragic meanings of all Maneskin's repertoire. It is told in the form of a medieval fairy but tragic tale.The truths Coraline knows are so atrocious you can't even name them. Read the lyrics once without music. Put the meaning of each stanza in the story together and you will discover Coraline's 'heavy burden' and why she is so anxious and she doesn't want to 'eat' but rather she wants to 'disappear'.
    Stanza 1: description of Coraline's appearance: she is a beautiful girl and sensitive, she feels the sorrow of other people and she carries it within herself.
    Stanza 2: description of C's tragic psychological reality: her heart is broken into two halves, she has lost all her energy because of the evil she has to suffer and people who don't know about her inner self and the violence and 'burden' she has been exposed to say she is weak and can't do even the most common things (going out of a door). But one day she will succeed in going through that door and her life will start to change. A new beginning for her will then be possible.
    Stanza 3: The singer tells C she can change her life 'take her things and leave', but C doesn't have the force to react, she 'wants the sea but she's afraid of the water', there is a monster she is afraid of... a father who is not a father... and now we know that the sea is really inside her and her womb... She loses the fruit of her womb. She doesn't know the meaning of love... And any word said to soothe her sorrow and help her is useless it is like an 'axe in the back'...
    Stanza 4: what will the singer be for her if she wants to be helped. He will know her truth and fight for her without asking for anything in return.
    Stanza 5: conclusion: we end in the same way as the story started (in a circular movement) = there is no solution to C's burden. There's a castle in town with walls so massive and solid that nothing more will afflict C. She will find eternal peace inside that castle.
    Maneskin once said in an interview that this song is based on a true story. The name Coraline has been chosen for musical reasons.

    They based it on a true story but changed Coraline’s name. Coralline was a girl who was sexually abused by her father and aborted a child (not clear if the child was her fathers). Coralline killed herself. The walls in the end are the walls of her grave. He can no longer hit her now that she is in her grave.

    If you like Punk and Hardcore music you must react to songs of italian band NEGAZIONE. Try to search "Lo Spirito Continua", probably the best hardcore album of the world. They were playing during the 80's and the early 90's.

    Hi, the song is about a sad but true story of a girl, a friend of Damiano (the singer), who was abused by her father, defined monster in the second verse (as he suggests in the last verse: "She lost the fruit of her womb He has not known love But a father who is nothing of a father ") and who committed suicide (" They told her there is a castle in the city With such powerful walls That if you go to live inside Nothing can hit you anymore "), where the castle is a Roman cemetery, the Verano Monumental Cemetery, called, in fact," the castle "... I hope you will read the comment and now that you know what it's about I know you will appreciate this beautiful song even more, thank you.

    I‘ve also heard that song for the first time! I am sad that you‘re listening to a story of a girl with an eating disorder... I was only listening to a story of an abused and broken girl...so what I want to say: no matter if she had an eating disorder, that’s not her story!

    I have been thinking a lot about the lyrics and I want to give you my point of view....I believe that the wall at the end could be a cemetery....after all the pain and difficulty( abortion, father abuse, etc) could be the only place where she could find peace and rest! what do you think? wow really sad but probably true and not so uncommon!
