I advise ordering roti canai or roti nan for breakfast, kebab or fried noodles for lunch, and nasi lemak/campur/rice noddel (Malay food in Kampung Baru) for dinner. I also advise ordering Nasi kandar, beriani (Indian mamak restaurant), and Chinese food at all locations in Jalan Alor. By. Nighttime food hubs in the city center and KL will include night markets and food truck stalls.
Places where the locals hang out: brickfields, Kampung Baru, Uptown Damansara. Free (FOC) and interesting places to visit: Perdana Botanical Garden, Batu Caves, Putrajaya etc
Train is a super nice option! We booked a plane with air asia to Penang for 50 myr per person that’s without luggage but luggage is about 35 myr added so that was a steal! The Robertson looks nice 👍🏽
Thanks a lot for a nice n wonderful trip from Penang to KL. If U want to go around interesting places in Greater KL just take Rail public transportation (LRT, MRT, KTM Commuter, Monorail), its more cheaper n avoid traffic jam or U can take GoKL Free Bus.
Its better for the government (MoT) to install the escalator or lift to makes easy for travelers from Penang Sentral to go to KTM ETS/KTM Commuter Platform.
More adventurous train ride would be 'the jungle railway ' the East coast intercity train that run in the middle of oldest tropical rainforest. Normally visitors will took the ride from Kuala Lipis to Wakaf Baru (Kota Baru)

Hopefully the Penang Port Authority or Penang govt will improve the facilities, the walkways and the ferry..
They seemed ok to me. The ferry was free so no complaints here.
