@@snype18 you will have to do the efi then because the trigger teeth on those 4cyl are only 2 and you need 3 I can send you a picture of exactly what I mean if you have IG it back be done it's just a pain to find the right flywheel
put the 5speed in. A manual is so much more hard to come by in the US. Anyone that would want to buy it would want it even more after hearing its manual
If you want top dollar and that is 1 of the 700 LE I believe you'll need to keep it stock, including the rims. Once you start modding it , it becomes a gamble. Of course if one of those manual trannies sitting on the side is a dogleg Getrag and have the original manual shifter with the LE Sportline logo it can minimizes the risks. Anyways can't hardly wait for the upcoming teardown videos of the M103. !!!
@@amg_josh Alright, lemme ask you something: let's say that there are 2 16V Cossy, one with the engine of your choosing 111, 119, 120, LS1, 2JZ, Ford Raptor, 1 ,2 ,3 turbo's and a blower putting out 500 HP, power rack, 5,6,7 spd manual tranny, Recaro seat and so on and the other one is the one driven by Niki Lauda with only 190-ish HP and stock Which one do you think it will bring top dollars ?
These Sportline LE came with a manual option. I had a second one with the 5 speed in it but salvage and parted out for my pristine one.. don’t think it will hurt his market because it’s still period correct
I just bought an auto 93 2.6 I’m kinda In the same situation that you are in rn , but how much would you charge for basic swap ? Should I try an LS swap at home ? I live in Vegas , so idk sho I just take it to someone?
@@ChoddedNloaded an LS is A LOT harder and way more expensive than people want to admit I personally love the m103 they really are great motors if they are taken care of and worked on property I would say put a 2.6 or 3.0 in it
M104 3.0 or 3.2 is probably one of the most popular along with m111 (could fit kompressor on there as well). Was thinking of the 3.2 M104 for my build. Out of the r129 sl320 its the m104.99x
@@thebenzhouse I know you've worked on other subs cars in the past, would you ever do an m104.99x conversion + 5spd manual for a subscriber? Obviously charging for labor etc...? I'm in an apartment with no garage and limited room just figured I'd float that question
@@grantcapel9884 i personally don't like the m104 I'm not a fan I'm a big SOHC motor guy it's the underdog and shouldn't be considering it's just as strong and reliable as a m104 and if your doing the efi and full conversation to it just keep the m103 it's easier to work on cheaper easier to find an engine just a more simple option and the 3.0 can and will handle 600hp with no prob up to 800hp (I've personally done this) and the 2.6 can handle about 450 reliability with no issues I have seen some with 500 but I personally wouldn't push it that much
