Great overview - I think the key with a lot of these is the humble product shot is granted a narrative dimension through suggestion / playfulness / floating signifiers. There is also lots of homage and media archeology going which is a great time in this era.

I mention all the brands I go deeper on, Hernan Herdez, Racer, Stüssy, Ghia, Pure Beauty, Rose etc but the ones on the end are all just Pinterest or are.na photos, few if any have a linked photographer or brand. I do plan to call out a specific list of cds/ads worth checking in one of the next videos I’m working on tho
