The part that pissed me off was when pearl was killing the projectionist and was like "NO ONE CAN KEEP ME ON THIS FARM" okay then LEAVE?? 💀 You killed your family, you literally have NO ONE to keep you there, so do whatever you want? And then at the end, she stayed in the farm for 61 more years
Well she did plan to leave. She was confident that she was gonna be chosen at her audition and that would be her opportunity to leave. But when that didn’t go her way she wasn’t able to handle the rejection and ended up just staying there I guess

Of course she’s gonna take that as someone trying to force her to stay. And it’s explained why she doesn’t leave in the end; she didn’t get the audition and that made her believe she was never meant to leave (she even said that to her mom during the dinner scene like “if I don’t get the audition I’ll never leave the farm again”).
Yeah I can't stand her tbh😭but then again this how it ked up to her being who she is but I honestly like her step sister in law more then younger pearl

That's partly because it's not a slasher film. It's a horror movie, yes, but one person killing a bunch of people doesn't make it a slasher by default. It doesn't meet the slasher tropes, besides. (I'm a huge horror movie fan and a big fan of slashers, especially ones from the golden era of slasher films.)
Fun fact : Exhilarating things like murder actually cause your blood flow to rise, which does actually make you more horny, hence why some murder’s actually have sex or kiss after murder.
