*Rant ahead* I'm with Tyler, I hate fireworks now too. I shouldn't have to sedate my animals when they are in the safety of their own home so people can be asshats and shoot off illegal fireworks until 1 am. But even calling it "the safety of their own home" is a stretch now because at midnight the air in my house smelled like fire and sulfur! Shortly after the smell started, I got an alert to make sure all my windows were closed, the air wasn't running and to not go outside because the air quality was dangerous. Keeping in mind that it was 114°F yesterday so turning off the air, even at midnight, was the straw that broke the camel's back. The 4th and the lead-up to has turned me into such a curmudgeon it's ridiculous 😮‍💨

My shingles is almost gone now, but unfortunately I didn't get the anti-virals in time, so I just had to manage with panadols and vaseline
