I really miss my late dog that he sacrificed his life when he protected us from the deadly snake in our house. I never think the animal was so loyal to us, we treated him as one of our sons and our family member.

Our friend passed away and he had a pup that needed a new home. We already had 2- 7 yr old fur babies. I forgot how much energy you need to raise a pup. Lol well the new addition gets very aggressive when my husband or son's get close to me. At night I am usually in bed first and she falls asleep using me as her personal bed, now my husband will toss her out of bed when he comes to bed but she is a smart cookie and waits for him to start to fall asleep and then this little bundle of joy jumps back up in bed and lays on my head and falls back to sleep or she will jump up between us and push off him so he'll go sleep on the couch. (Our fur babies oldest to youngest are 1 Husky/Malamute mix, 1Border Collie/Treeing Walker Coonhound mix, 1 Husky/Shepherd mix)

We said good buye to our Coco after 15-1/2 yrs. The pain is unbearable. Will never get another dog and have to endure the loss. She is irreplaceable

Ha! That chihuahua suckling that guys ear - that’s a complete new one. I’ve been around dogs my whole life … a lot of dogs, at both work and home … and I’ve never seen that.
Dogs, cats they're more than just pets, they know when something is wrong, sad , sick . And about being sick our cat knew mom had cancer way before we did.
Our beloved dog died in October 23. We got him from our local dog shelter.
We truly miss having a dog......but when our dog got ill and needed all the treatments and then died on the operation table, it has cost us thousands of pounds. The vet bills were just unfairly high.
Where we live, owning a dog has become a luxury, especially when they get ill.
I don't know how all the other dog / pet owners manage financially.
For that reason we have decided not to get another dog.

Many years ago I had a mentor, a retired catholic priest. He & I argued about a separate place in heaven for animals. It was a double count-out...a draw. I will always think that animals bring us back to a more human level than we are used to, it seems like a waste they would die and that knowledge would go with them. I still maintain there is a separate section of heaven for them.

Funny thing is, nearly all animals would be loving and a great part of the family if given space in our homes. What living being wouldn't love being fed, housed and cared for both physically with belly rubs and emotional sharing.
