Robert, The Church has always taught that those in Mortal Sin Cannot receive the Eucharist UNTIL they receive Sacramental Absolution. This is made very clear in the Catechism of the Council of Trent promulgated by Pope St Pius V, OP. It is also made Clear in the old Cardinal Heenan Penny Catechism.
That used to be taught but no more! I remember when the polish Pauline priests arrived in Wolverhampton at my old parish and couldn't believe that children were encouraged to receive Holy Communion even when in a state of mortal sin! Not until a assistant head teacher confirmed ,and enthused ,about how children were indeed encouraged to do this did these priests manually struggling to learn English realised that they had a great more to realize, that the Catholic Church and school system was no longer Catholic! St Thomas More and St Edmund Campion pray for us!
People genuinely may not know these basic things.... All I hear these days is sure I am a good person. Maybe do but being lukewarm is a dangerous place to be... They need education. I didn't know until I was 40. I had no idea what Holy Mass was either.
0:53 It is so easy to forget that those who speak badly (or even think badly of others), is a category of people who can not receive Holy Communion unless they have repented and gone to confession first.
Pitty he's signed elsewhere, would have been handy for the homegrown rule with this probably being Forests last season and Greg Taylor leaving at the end of the season. No way Taylor hasn't been offered a new deal and he's clearly hoping for a move for bigger money b4 he retires.
Thank you for enlightening me Robert. God bless you. 🙏
It's people like you!

Merry Kislev Robert

It's indeed very sad that we are compromising our faith in so many ways. God help us 🙏
