You're welcome. It made me laugh out loud, literally. And I love Ramen and even make my own Tonkotsu Ramen. Takes 3 days to make it right. I'll have to post a recipe video myself one day. I'm going to check out the rest of your vids!
I've posted recipe vids before, but it's been awhile. I vlogged for 2 years straight, never missed a day. But I don't do it anymore. But I'll let you know when I post the Tonkatsu broth recipe.
I found that the Ichiran in Ueno was actually much better than the one I went to in Shinjuku, weird but definitely noticed a stark difference, by far my fave chain in Japan!
moocaten another tip I have is go to a chain called smile if you want easy cheap and decent izakaya food, but if you want the best you either have to pay or brave the unknown and untranslated 😁
All of 3 are Hakata style. There are mainly 2 styles of Tonkotsu ramen, Hakata style and Kumamoto style. I prefer latter one. Keika ramen is the very 1st Tonkotsu ramen in Tokyo though it's not standard in Kumamoto. You can enjoy it in Shinjuku, Shibuya and Ikebukuro. If you try standard Kumamoto ramen near Tokyo, you should go to ramen museum in Yokohama.
Indian food is just as buckwild as Japanese food. I'd say they're on par really. But Japanese food has the edge because their cleanliness standards are consistently high, whereas in India the cleanliness varies, so you have to always be vigilant about where you eat.
I feel like Ichiran really depends on when you go, if you go when its busy its not going to be that good (i know because ive gone when its busy and it wasent anything out of the ordinary, the spicy sauce is really good though) seems like you went when its not so busy so they probably have more time to concentrate on making the soup
Yo, you missed out on the buckwild tonkotsu ramen that is Muteppou ramen. Their broth is 100% water and pork bone broth. A single bowl will put you in an instant food coma, but in my personal opinion, my favorite tonkotsu ramen of all time (as someone who also has tried Ichiran ramen). You should totes check it out, yo!
Finally waited for years for a tonkotsu ramen video from you, and you introduce the shittiest chain tonkotsu ramen places here. dissappointed. Except for Mutekiya. Mutekiya has the best Chashuu. Go to a yokohama Iekei ramen place in Yokohama if you want a real mind-blast. Tsuru-ichi-ya, Yoshimura-ya, suzukiya. The true ramen kings for ramen lovers.
Thanks for the uplifting comment. Why are you even suggesting a ramen shop in Yokohama? This is a Tokyo Tour, dawg. PS: I've been to that shop and didn't think it was worth the long wait.
... is everybody going to gloss over the fact that this guy sounds like a serial murderer? I had to stop at cracking the egg... the dialogue, and everything prior, made me incredibly uncomfortable.
Have you ever tried Japanese snacks? If not, I recommend this one! amzn.to/2sjGPnY (This affiliate link has life-changing potential!!!)
What's up sweet cheeks? Feel free to check out the playlist with every RAMEN video I've ever made: bit.ly/2qFmegt
Everyone says the Daikokuya in Little Tokyo is good, although Arin said the broth there "tastes like dog water". ;)
SoloTravelBlog every video? Holy dawg!
now thats what i call a real review! subscribed after 4:46
Thanks a lot for the comment. Stay awesome!
Every word that comes out STB's mouth is creamy golden baby.
OK, 1 minute in to this vid and I was like "who the hell is this D bag?". 3 minutes in and I'm cracking the hell up! Subbed. . .
+scottyplug Thank you for getting it. Some people don't ;)

+scottyplug Wow 3 days, that's dedication! Yeah posting a recipe would be pretty cool man.

Loooove Ichiran so much! I visit just by myself sometimes... 😌😌
Yeah it really is incredible. I want to go again and choose different flavor settings :O
Oh hell yes, this is the one I've been waiting for
I found that the Ichiran in Ueno was actually much better than the one I went to in Shinjuku, weird but definitely noticed a stark difference, by far my fave chain in Japan!
That's good intel dawg, thanks for sharing. FYI to other people watching, the Ichiran in this video is the Ueno one
Thanks for the tip, I'm heading there tomorrow! :D

I've been waiting for this one :)
Whats up with your voice? You sound like the voiceover for an 80s b-list action movie trailer.
It's annoying af
Damn, these ramen bowls all look so good! I really need to get out and broaden my culinary horizons one of these days.
Oh hey Seto Kaiba🖐️
More ramen 🍜 vids plz

how buckwild would you say the food in india is compared to japanese food??

that big ol' bowl of ramen looks like a wild ride
So Japan or India? Which buck wild place are you chillaxing at now
No discrimination here!!! lol why is this the first of your videos ive seen. Im in love XD
2:34 killed me 😂
I think you'd like Mutteppo, crazy thick.
Thanks man, I gotta hit that up next time!
hey Dustin, did any of the Ramen shops you've been to allow their customers to use Forks or did it have to be only Chopsticks?
I just found your videos and your channel is buck fuckin wild 👍🏽👍🏽
This is much better than the Indian series.
I gotta say I think that place in Akihabara with all the toppings still looks the most paradigm shifting.
I think they let you peel the egg yourself so you know it is hygienic, not peeled by someone else
Do you live in Japan or are you just chillin there

Interesting theory. You're right, it wasn't busy when I went in this video. Maybe going as soon as they open is a good bet
Arckane Men you should try Tanaka Shoten then, they boil their tonkotsu broth up to 60 hours. No rush!
I highly recommend Dokotsuya in Kichijoji~
India has been BUCKWILD but Japanese food just makes me AFNAR
Been to Ichiran in shinjuku :3 very very good and great system ^^
Tonkotsu Ramen Daisuki!
I never knew there was green onion & (white) green onion.
Same here. That's pretty fuckin thought provoking to say the least
Uh its just the end part of green onion...
this guy tell us a story
That’s right, baby. There’s an adventure behind every calorie-PACKED bite

Is this video narrated by Todd Barry?
Has TH-cam demonetized your videos too?
No, but ad revenue went down by about 30%
