My personal favorite of that bunch is Hustle. Clutch has similar texture but is more dry and waxy. Clutch XL is waxier still so it has stronger hold and maybe a slightly more strandy texture. Pregame is totally it's own animal as the texture changes over time.

Depends on the product - some start to dry and get stickier if you break them down too much, but some firmer oil-based stuff needs to be broken down a lot to warm it up.
Mediums are where it's at. I've yet to find a high hold that doesn't rip my hair out. Or feel like it at least and quite frankly since my blow drying technique has improved for my desired look a medium last virtually all day anyway.

How would you say the consistency of this product compares to crafted? (less liquid-like?) Sadly, when I ordered crafted, my sent product was extremely hard and dried out/couldn’t be applied due to the consistency. Stephen was awesome and sent me another jar but that jar had just about the same problem. I feel like having a heavier clay that is more liquid like, as this one appears, would be a great benefit compared to others that are complete rocks (cavalier and forte haha)
Aw man sorry to hear that, not sure what happened there. This one is not liquidy at all and is more of a “regular” feeling clay in terms of consistency. But yeah much softer than Forte or Cav lol

Haha I hear you man. Compared to Hustle this one is definitely drier and more of a matte finish. Similar hold strength and this one maybe feels a bit lighter weight. For me Hustle is much smoother to apply but both do leave the hair feeling soft.

Oh boi. It works like the best. Cream clay. But just more like a nice. Matte paste. But with a good matte finish not dry

Could be! I don’t usually use clays as prestylers but this one probably would work well since it’s so light weight.

Medium hold is for guys which have thick hair
They’re great for finer haired folks too, especially drier ones that have stuff like kaolin/bentonite to help thicken the hair.
