I am an old Catholic monk and priest. I was raised in the Baptist church and still love these old songs. I'm nearing the end of my journey here on earth and looking foraward to that glorious day when I will see Him, the one who died for me. Pray for me as I pray for you.

It seems like some of our churches just want to ignore these blessed old songs of Theology. A whole lot of our youth don't even know of them. But, I hope that they will always be around, and resurface among us, and bring back that Glory into our midst. Church should not be a light show, or have the same feel as a rock concert. It ought to be a place, where there is the flow of that River.

Most of the music of today, so called CHRISTIAN, is not ANNOINTED and does not have God's seal of approval. There is a difference and the true worshippers know the difference. God said this music that is not from the heart, is a noise to his ears and he despises it.

My God, what a revelation as I am studying the Word and experiencing the presence of Holy Spirit. I cannot even begin to comprehend this kind of experience! @Dywane Callahan very true, but true worshippers worship him in SPIRIT and TRUTH and there is always a counterfeit for the real. Most of the music of today, so called CHRISTIAN, is not ANNOINTED and does not have God's seal of approval. There is a difference and the true worshippers know the difference. God said this music that is not from the heart, is a noise to his ears and he despises it.
