    This is the boring way to play this song. Instead of playing the normal D chord, slide up two frets with the C=D. You'll find it a far more harmonically interesting way to play this song. Also, in the refrain try to emphasise the 5th string A throughout.. Just saying.

    Question: During the verses, you say and demonstrate to strum all the strings of the chord on the 2nd beat of the chord, but the graphic shows that you leave out the bass note when you strum on the 2nd beat of the chord. Which is correct?

    • @Good_Guitarist
      @Good_Guitarist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Either works fine. The exact pattern is forever-changing as the song goes on. What I write at the top is like the "usual way" to do it, but once you have that down, you can apply certain variations. With that said, I should be more consistent in playing it as written or at least discuss this during the tutorial.

      Hey Eddie from Liverpool, you have excellent taste in music! It's hard to make practice a priority - most often we are busy doing other things and other people look at it just as a "hobby", but if it makes you happy, you should most definitely invest as much time as you can into your practice, of course within reason. Good luck Eddie!

The scroller at the top that shows the chords and when to hit them as well as the chord positions and watching you play along at the same time are a huge help to beginner guitarist like me. This song tutorial renewed my faith in learning guitar. Thank you sincerely.

    a question btw; do you keep the pinky pressing the highest cord the whole chorus? thanks in advance teacher.

      For strumming, it's not necessary, but whenever I am picking individual notes, I find it's really helpful to "anchor" the picking hand, either with the pinky finger or with the palm.

    Got a guitar about 3 weeks ago. tried this song about day 3-4 and couldnt get it even slowed to like .25 speed. Came back about 2 weeks later, today, and immediately picked up the a to c to d transition pretty well. A mark of improvement I didn't think I was really getting. You make some good videos and the animation is what really seals the deal!
