  • Well if I had a nickel for every time I've made an Anonymous Agony meme about Samson punching Haze in 2024, I'd have two, which isn't a lot, but its weird that it's happened twice.

    Dropping in to confirm this still happens. Also the design doc was updated with solidified ending achievements and plans. But, yeah. It will spoil hardcore.

      I dipped my head into the discord a bit back, looks like there’s been some additions to the script filling in smaller plot points, as well as setting up some other projects. Not too much else gameplay wise though as far as a I could see.

      Yeah, it seems like they weren’t going to be the typical RPGM style turn based ones, more like a real time fight where you walk around. There’s one or two sections like that described in the script (a fight with one of the Flesh Faces and during the hospital attack).

      Bosa fights up until the end of File #11 happen similar to old sprite Zelda or sprite horror games. Active high speed puzzles/chase sequences.
      File #12-13 when the game engine changes they function like regular modern boss fights.
      I really enjoyed the hand to hand combat in the Yakuza series. The countering system timing in Metal Gear Rising, The countering animations detail in Dead or Alive games, and the weight behind the the melee weapon attacks in Ninja Gaiden 2 along with its realfic gore effects.
      I data mined and scanned the animations, sound effects and flow of those games model animations and tempo to analyze what intricates those appealing aspects of those mentioned games.
      Wonder how those pieces combined would be together.
      Wait. What am I talking about.
      I also wonder like camels are such assholes. Don't they spit on people...?
      3 Prolgues. One Epilogue. But two of those happen at once.
