    You can do more than 2 charts...on each sheet, add the select filter, but then, edit filter and change to custom value list. Add the names of all the other charts than the chart you are on and click exclude. Then on dashboard, use floating containers for the sheets and make them all the same size and overlap each other. When you add the parameter, and select a sheet it will show on the dashboard and hide the others. When you go back to your sheets, those sheets that are not currently selected may look empty but they still have the content. Anyway, this was my work-around for 3 sheets. Thanks!

      I'm able to use your suggestion for 3 charts, however, only one floating container can be at the "front" where on-hover tool tips can be seen. Does anyone know of a workaround so the floating container selected will automatically move to the "front"?

    Thank you so much for coming to rescue time and over again. This is the second time you have guided me through your videos. It is so easy to understand the way you explain.
    The least I could do is subscribe to your channel. Thank you very very much once again, Sir :)

    it dows not work for me :( i think the filter is my problem. it does not change like yours, it keeps the exclusion even when parameter vale changes. can someone help me with this issue?

    This doesn't work for me. When I do it with three sheets, they each only show the chart within 3 separate containers, and not 1 overlapping container like is showed here (even after I remove the title).

    Hi Andre, Why when I put all sheets into the dashboards after applying the parameters, either one sheet shows up taking up half of the screen and leaving the other side blank, which wastes lots of space of my dashboard. What could I have missed when dragging the sheets over to dashboard..

    Hi Andre. Thanks for the video. I have a quick question. It worked well in a dashboard with a line chart, but when I used a treemap chart, it always leaves a space (when the treemap chart is hidden). Am I missing something?

    Sometimes this works great but other times the two charts seem to be fighting for space and they split up half of the container. Nothing I can do seems to let me have them swap for a full view of the container.

      You have to have a discrete dimension on the row or column shelf
      I had this problem when trying to swap bubble charts which don’t have any pills on the pane shelf. My work around was to use the parameter field as my discrete dimension then hid the field labels. It worked

      When you add/stack each worksheet to the dashboard, make sure the "Fix Height" option for each one is set to "off" (ie deselected). This worked for me when I was adding more than 2.

    Hey Andre, tried to do this with geodata on maps, and seems like the sheets are fighting for space in the dashboard for some reason any solution for that?

  • @michaelblack2259

    This works great for two sheets - thank you! When I add a third, I only have the option to exclude the first sheet from the second and third, why is this? It results in both 2nd and 3rd sheets showing up when I select either of them from the drop down. How do I exclude sheets 1 and 2 from 3 and 1 and 3 from 2, etc?

    It worked! Thank you! Only issue is when I put in another graoh for another one, instead of displaying them one on top of another, it puts it underneath... I try and drag the slider down futher but it then displays a small graph in the tiny space... I can't figure out how to toggle between showing them behind each other instead of underneath?

    So this got me halfway there I would say. I have a drop down menu that displays each sheet when I click it. However, I cannot get them on top of each other. If I put them on top of each other it will display sheet A if sheet A is selected, but when I select sheet B, it just leaves a blank space. What am I doing wrong?

    • @raggen5039
      @raggen5039 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nevermind, it looks like I was having an issue because they both had backgrounds. If I just give 1 a background and the other is none, it works just fine. Thanks again.

    If we have color legend that need to swap based on chart can you explain with legends please

    • @andre347
      @andre347  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would have third sheet on which you apply the same filters as the other two sheets. But this third sheet is not being swapped. And you use the legends from that sheet.

    How to swap views of different data sources?

    • @andre347
      @andre347  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The same way as with the same data source. A parameter is not linked to a data source but a workbook. So same principle.
