Others have mentioned it but Blind at Woodstock ‘99 is probably the most insane concert footage of all time. That said, there’s an entire documentary on Netflix called Trainwreck: Woodstock ‘99 that I think you’d find interesting based on some of your commentary. You’ve mentioned Rage not liking Limp Bizkit on one of your other reviews, and the documentary gives some insight into how problematic the Nu Metal culture became during its peak. Having attended some nu metal concerts around that time I can say there were some scary moments and my parents would never have let me go if they knew how crazy those shows got. 😂
Woodstock 1999 Korn Blind Is INSANE!!!! The place erupted. There are soooo many good Korn Songs. Another band you'll like is Deftones. I'll list some songs for you. There have many other great ones Deftones Change My own summer Rosemary Passenger
I took my daughter and a few of her friends to see Korn in Chicago, Mayhem Fest 2014. They showed out as did all the bands that day. Avenged Sevenfold and Korn were the top bands, but there were a bunch of other bands of note. It was a full day of Rock. I was 59 at the time, my daughter was19 and we had a blast. You should go to a rock concert at least once in your life. All ages come together and have big fun. 😅
I like the way you broke the song down about how he’s going blind hiding in his mind. Been listening and connecting with this song and didn’t even realize that message you saw.
I was 12 when this came out and Korn was apart of my high school years. This band was unstoppable at that time. The intensity for there new albums and music videos will never happen again like it did. I'm 41 years old now and to see your reaction was pretty awesome. It was an intense generation the 90's were. Tool was another superior band amongst many more like Rage Against the Machine, Limp Bizket and Soundgarden. You just listened to something that changed/ altered the music chapter of its time. Don't forget Marilyn Manson's video Sweet Dreams, that was another super hit. Fugees Killing Me Softly is yet another and many many more. An explosion of diverse music happened and then everything went there own ways and now it is what it is. Those in my age group were blessed to be apart of such a unique period in time for music. Rip to those no longer with us, but then again they actually are in many ways.
Hey man, great reaction! Now that you've done Blind you should go ahead and start doing the albums and songs in their order. Blind is the first song on their first album. Their drummer was really good at creating a very groove oriented sound that really helped Korns sound.
Great reaction! Blind is one of my favorites - Korn is incredible live too. If you want to dig into more metal, I've got two recommendations: Knocked Loose is a hardcore metal band that is killing it right now. They have a song called Suffocate that is AMAZING. It features another metal artist named Poppy. She has some killer songs; My favorite is Spit (which is a cover of a song originally performed by a 90s all-female metal band Kittie). She also sings a song called V.A.N with another metal band Bad Omens. Her song scary mask, Concrete and X are all phenomenal!! Happy Listening :)
1st song on their 1st album. When this came out, it was the heaviest shit ever. They were the fist ones to popularize 7-strings guitars, which was INSANE at the time.
Jonathan Davis is so engaged at all times with the band and the audience and he goes in full speed knocking mf’s DOWN with the lyrics. True heart and soul front man live them to the end forever fangirl here. Thank you for the graceful commentary. Peace.
Korn 99 woodstock live is wild. But off this same album is a song called Daddy. This is a really really hard song to listen to. I wont be a spoil altert. I dare you to not be surprised
