Sucha inteligent-coldblooded- clinical striker...been supporting Arsenal caus of him and Wengers philosophy for +20 years, all of the turmoils and now thank god for Arteta, the feeling why I support this club came back...
I was there in the corner he ran past and I still remember the tear in my eye. It was an amazing moment and exactly what everyone in that stadium wanted. It was a really beautiful football moment when the hero returns. I’ll never forget it.
Been supporting Arsenal since 1979, seen so many great players grace the club but Henry is the tops, Ian Wright or Dennis Bergkamp a very close second.
Don't think they have. Pepe is 40 y/o, and is still playing for Porto. Really surprised he played the full 90 minutes against Arsenal. Also, I don't remember his name, but there's a japanese man in his 50's still playing professionally. Thing is, it depends on the player's fitness. Usually pacey forwards like Henry would retire within the 35-37 age bracket. Their bodies just cannot cope with the energy and physicality and usually gets slower and weaker the older they get.
While King Henry was the GOAT, we have to admit that Wenger had the most difficult job to bring some of these potatoes to challenge the Premier League every year.
I was here for this game, and the roar from the crowd when Henry Scored, was like we'd just won the Premier League. Absolutely incredible to experience Henry scoring for Arsenal.
He has a great sense of the goal frame, always knowing how to position himself. The move he used to score is one he’s mastered and executed successfully many times before.
At 34 “he won’t be the same player” yet what no one liked to say cus they didn’t wanna offend the kids was that he was still 100% FAR BETTER than anyone else on the pitch. He should have been bought back permanently. What else arsenal had at that time was embarrassing in comparison
@@stuartmcmillan9004 but we had zero back up. I think Wenger was TOO nice. He knew bringing back Henry would have destroyed any hope of the rest of starting for the next 1/2 yrs. He was always gonna be 1/2 choice even at 34. But again as much as I liked Wenger in the early years he 100% sacrificed success on pitch over general happiness of the kids. Can’t spell but Chamack for instance should have gone and Henry brought back. But Wenger kept Chamack… he must have known Henry was still a million miles ahead. Surely evidence he was far too nice by this stage.
I remember we were in an Asian fusion restaurant. This match was on one of those cheap plastic TVs on a swivel arm. When Henry scored we jumped up and down and knocked the TV until it was facing up towards the ceiling. The manager came out to see what all the noise was. It was hard to explain to him how much TH meant to us and what that goal represented. ONE NIL TO THE ARSENAL
"He may be cast in bronze, but he’s still capable of producing truly golden moments"
Can't beat this piece of commentary.

@@jamescyrus8566 "Intelligent, coldblooded and clinical", no words wasted.
Your Right.
Arteta still has a long way to go! He is not yet there at all. There is still a lot missing, tactics wise.
That was his last good bye to Arsenal, and he delivered a beautifully gift to his fans. Pure class.
he scored two more goals after this for those few months he returned season
Wasn't it actually the last hello?

I'm not an Arsenal Fan, but I shouted my lungs out this day on the pass to and the goal by Thierry!
That pass from Alex song is something else ❤❤❤
This is why we love him. He is our King Henry 👑
No way in hell.
Seeing Henry warming up on the touchline and then scoring the winner is just too heroic.
Your loyalty is respected 😊😊
The soul of Arsenal ❤
Btw, how wenger managed to get top 4 with that bunch of players is beyond my comprehension
Those signature shoot 😊😊
Alex song was on fire. That pass was legit. Henry as always class. He finished it brilliantly.
Best goal from Thierry pure class.💪
The hug from the boss bought a tear to my eye

'68 for me - on the North Bank - Bergkamp is simply one of the best players the world has ever seen. Supreme skill and a quick football brain.
In 1979 Chippy Brady was the best player in the League.
95, and when Henry comes, is just like an ecstasy for me🔥
I can never forgot the joy on his face that night
Any one noticed Alex Song trying to pick henry with a pass and finally got him which he scored?
Ya noticed that too, that one requires trust, vision and skill to execute that pass, which strangely seems lacking before Henry came on
@@cheerlin He had to play with Chamakh before that. Chamakh didnt do that kind of movement.

I wish football wouldn't have had retirement age!Henry is really a legend

The chances wasted by the players were shocking from this team. It is a decade to forget.
It is unbelievable how much better we are now. I can't imagine our current team playing like this.
The curse of wasting chances is still there todate.
@@gichukikoinange2301 20 years & counting since arsenal won the premier league.. .
The legend for Asenal❤
A tiger is still a tiger even when its sick or old.
in other words: form is temporary, class is permanent
Funny thing is he was only 34 at this point 😅 I always thought he was older when he returned.
I am 34, and every time when I see this goal and these emotions, I have tears in my eyes. It looked like a dream
I'm 38, yes same here, same feelings😢

1:40 I hope this guy wins WC with Argentina being the best GK
Lol yeah. Seems like a sweet guy who wont try and intimidate penalty takers.
Long live our king
The true Legend
I shed tears every time I rewatch this moment
I hope he will become our manager one beautiful day
No, dont want him to potentially ruin his legacy
Is that a young Emiliano Martinez the world champion at 1:39 of the clip? It's amazing.

To be fair Van Persie was quality that season.

He was known as Igwe in Nigeria... meaning king.
Imagine if Henry could play forever.
Emi martinez, little did we know he'd be such a solid keeper, Copa America, Finalissimo and World Cup. Madddd
I still remember watching this game at 3 am ish, screamed at titi’s goal, and got a scolding in the morning for shouting at dawn 😂

Can do the one where Henri twice handled the ball in a World Cup qualifier and changed the game?
The current Arsenal team would thump these guys 4 nil or more.
True. Current Arsenal can strike
