ami meter installed in rwp 6th bhai phase wires polarity ulti hai red nutural and black phase ki abb yea meter lock hai tu kaysay change ho ge polarity and agar aysay hi chalta rahay to koi issue to nii unko kaha they said 24 hours guzar gaye ab seals break ni kar sakty aysay hi chalnay dain kuch ni hota

How this can help reducing theft ? AMI Meter will not allow any hussle to slow or stop the meter but what about the direct line obtained by the thieves with the help of WAPDA Employees. By looking at a glance, the bill at its location, immediately give one the understanding whether there is possibility of theft in the concerned home/ building or otherwise. 2nd important point is to bring the WAPDA Employees ln proper discipline. The meter of the employees must show proper reading and according to his designation, units should be allowed to him, to be deducted from his total consumed units. The AMI Meters will simply add to further burden on WAPDA and its benefit will be negligible. I do not know whether is there any such technology in the world where electric meter work just like cell phone ( where there is no pole, no wire and no transfermer) and works simply with re charge.
By reducing human intervention we can minimise corruption. Second thing is that there is a possibility of detecting direct connection as joints in the wire will make a noise in PLC.. With the right data analytic techniques direct connections can also be caught...

Right now it's being implemented in IESCO, but soon it will be launched in other discos as well.
Lesco is also installing AMR meters...

Where will be backup stored in case transformer bursts.
DCUs are very rugged... but in case of complete burn out...AMI meters have storage for emergencies...

بھائی پشاور میں پہلے پرائیویٹ کمپنی کے گرین میٹر لگتے تھے اب اس نے بھی پالیسی چینج کردی میٹر بھی وہ خود دے رہے ہیں جس میں سیم لگا ہوتا ہے تو کیا یہ بھی اسی طرح کا میٹر ہیں۔۔۔۔؟؟ یہی گرین میٹر( جس میں سیم لگا ہے) میں نے خود ایک مہینے پہلے لگا دیا ہے
