Thanks for the video. Very well done. We bought a 24 year old Hunter 460 with 2 of these toiletes on it, using fresh water for flushing. One of them quit working and consultation with the Raritan rep at the Annapolis Boat Show indicated I needed a new water inlet control solenoid. Of course, I'm going to have to partly disassemble the unit to replace the solenoid and I found your video to be very helpful.

Thank you… oh no! The solenoid is hard to access if your toilet is “flush” mounted😂
Sometimes it will pop out of the back where it is seated in that rubber grommet. I may silicone mine in.

Thank you. I am currently in Boca Grande at the Gulf of Mexico and just used it for the first time. I was beaming with pride!

Wow! Well done. That was a lot of work and a lot of planning. Never knew a toilet could be Bluetooth controlled. This mini series will help others in their install.

Looks great! Well done. One comment, instead of cutting a hole in the base of where the toilet mounts, wouldn't it have been easier to just cut the tops of the screws off? I'm considering the same project on my Beneteau 37 sailboat. It has the same toilet as the one you removed and I wanted to upgrade it to the Raritan and connect it to fresh water, like you did.

Thank you for the compliment. The reason that I cut the hole in the base was so I could reach my hand and use a wrench and through bolt the toilet with nuts and washers. I know that you can use lags but I wanted something that was going to be more sturdy.

How has this head held up as far as clogging? If it has clogged, why? Have you done #2 and thrown toilet paper in it? I just purchased one and want to make sure a $1,000 toilet can function as a toilet should.

Hello…. Yes, it has been appropriately “broken in” without issue! This toilet has a macerator in it, which is basically like a garbage disposal with stainless steel blades. We always use Marine toilet paper, but I don’t even think that’s necessary with this toilet. It’s more important just to make sure that you have enough water. This has different levels of flushing (1 only to save water or 1 and 2 which is a three flush cycle) so you have the ability to save fresh water as well as not fill your waste tank up as quickly. You can also just add water ( if you are expecting a rocky road ahead and are preplanning ) as well as just evacuating water from the bowl ( if you are underway or trailering and don’t want to have a full bowl). I’m very glad that I installed it and have not had any issues so far. All the guests ( especially the ladies) are happy they don’t have to use the manual Jabsco any longer!
