Yes. President is the chief executive officer of a nation. He has 100% constitutional rights to intervene and direct any affairs, through his veto power or through body or committe approved by the President in line with the constitution. He is the economic chief executive officer of the country.

Mr Amadi. You are wrong sir. President of the state has the 100 constitutional power over the affairs of the country economy. He has constitutional rights to intervene with CBN. Infact CBN cannot make any policies that did not approve by the President. Lets revist our mistake during Buhari VS Emefiele.
Even in all the developed countries CBN governor answered to the President, Parliament or Prime Minister.

I'm not sure you listened to his submission with a sense of clarity.
Kindly listen to him again and deduce his points.

Lol Mr Amadi...in the US, the President speaks about the activity of their CBN all the time...some even think they are not apolitical. President Tinubu did not put a gun to CBN...if he does not speak and NLC, TUC embark on strike, would you say CBN is independent Lol? AriseNews will complain left or right...what a channel Lol.

The US does not have a Central Bank, the US has a Federal Reserve Bank, and it regulatory functions are not determined and controlled by the US President.
They work together, as a government, but regulatorily independent.

@@princebms1234NO. You're wrong. The body that control it were directly under the President of United States. That means they 100% under the president is just that in democratic and parliament systems of government they use committee as middle but that doesn't erase the that President is the chief executive officer of economics of any NATION. He can direct at anytime. If things doesn't go inline with his manifesto or believe.

Amadi is a diehard opposition analyst always cunningly throwing jabs at the Presidency.Ensuring that the Central Bank does not fail in it's actions to improve the battered image generated by Emefiele's careless and reckless abuse of the policies of government renewed hope Agenda, the Executive arm headed by the Commander in chief is duty bound to monitor it's activities,no one blames the public servants, most blames, misrepresentations are heaped on the presidency, the bottomline is to ensure the people are happier,it's not a walk in the park, reforms of government takes time to materialise positively,so we all are involved but must critically suggest positive way out of the economic logjam.

@@Peggyg13My dear that's the problem these people have. They always run with a line of statement without listening carefully with a sense of clarity.
They don't understand that the fact you meant well or have good intentions for your actions but in the process stepped on the law doesn't exonerate you from the harsh hammer, only that it could be considerably mild.
