Black Metal? Perhaps no, but MTV had Filter and The Prodigy play during a fashion show in the 90's which was pretty cool too. I believe it was called Fashionably Loud

I think this will never happen. If a mediocre casted band like Slipknot is regarded as satanic (which they aren't) and everybody in the US listens to the Glam-/Hair-Metal-Combos (who are also as well satanic ... *lol*), then there's no chance to get metal into the masses' minds.
But in Germany tere's not much appreciation for this kind of music, too.

I was at a Satyricon concert in St. Petersburg Russia in 2018. Before the concert, near the club, I noticed an expensive dark car with a personal driver, from which a man came out, accompanied by security. It turned out that it was the Norwegian consul in St. Petersburg. Satyr posted a photo with him after the concert.
Norwegians - you are the best! My dream is to visit you and get to know the people of Norway personally! Hello everyone!

i don't understand, people who listen to hard rock and heavy metal always said they wish their genres would be played more publicly, and be embraced as a master race of music, now that it has it doesn't suit us, we are just like women, we fuss and bitch about being objectified and not being cool, and being looked down on and being the freaks, but when we are in the limelight, its not truely metal anymore. im no longer a metal head, i just listen to it because im done being a hypocrit.

So, what's the big deal? They're there making money while broke fanboys/girls criticize them for being 'sell outs' (*yawn*) etc, not kvlt anymore. It doesn't matter regardless of how much you hate & criticize it, they're still making $
