- "Frost" from legendary Norwegian black metal band Satyricon joined us in the cell at Alcatraz Metal festival 2018.
He told all about his pre-performance rituals, the red energy he tries to contain on stage and unlocking a deep well of new inspiration for "Deep Calleth Upon Deep", but also telepathically working with Satyr, making a cover album and how vegans will take over the world.

@@user-me7mm7gr1p.....not true, im a very experienced drummer and he is my favourite drummer because he is fantastic at all the metal stuff without triggers, and if study ALL his drum parts i find him to be incredibly creative, to me literally the best all round real true non triggers and samples drummer, and hes nearly 50 also! Very physically taxing stuff! I have the utmost respect for Frost.

Frost is not only well spoken , but a killer drummer as well. At the time of this interview he was 45 yrs. Old & in great physical shape. I have a massive crush on this classy , sexy , man.

What do you mean? The priest classes of all cultures including the shamanic traditions of ancient Norway wore face paint. You paint your face before battle. Black metal musicians are warriors. You’ve never heard the term “seeing red”? It means intensity and anger. These are just associations. It means he feels very intensely and vibrant and flaming. “He had a fiery disposition” are all ways of saying “red energy”. You took it into some kind of hippy dippy territory and that’s not what it is... Also MEN were the first people historically to use makeup/face paint. He’s talking about corpse paint btw not beauty makeup. Educate yourself a little. I’m not trying to insult you just inform you, so please leave the ego out of this.
Ancient Egyptian priests were the first people to wear makeup, also. There’s just many cultural factors at play here and I would encourage you to not be so close minded

I mean no disrespect but I wonder if he may be bipolar. He seems like it is painful for him to be around people asking questions and picking his brain. His eyes tell a story that’s different than what he says. These interviews seem exhausting.

i used to see a bit of conversation on whether he was autistic back in some old forum sites. granted, i have no idea if they were asking with sincere intent or to ridicule or mock him.
Probably he is introvert. He has a bachelor in mathematics, so the guy is smart and maybe he doesnt like to talk a lot.
Artists are more often different than the normal everyday person. I mean, they have to be. That's what makes them an artist afterall.

I appreciate the video, but my suggestion would be to cut it down to a shorter segment to make it more interesting. It's very slow paced and lost me completely mid way. I skipped to when he was talking about veganism instead. Thanks and I look forward to more videos from you in the future.
