notch point is only a 100km south of mackay and its a must visit camp ground when traveling up the coast. there aren't many places where u can essentially camp for free and wake up to the beautiful view of the ocean from your car. if you love fishing and especially for barras this is a great spot . i was told by the locals fish about an hour on each side of low tide near the boat ramp and although i didn't catch one the guys around me were catching a few.

I always carry with me fexofenadine tablets,
Great for midgee and mosquito deterant, i hate the date things

yeah haha very frustrating, eneded up fishing for 5 hours in total, bc after he caught a fish right next to me i thought i would stick it out and eventually i would get something but i was wrong haha. it was also his 3rd barra he caught that day
