    I'm glad to see you put out this video. Luba 2 H has all the features I've been waiting for. I would skip the wacky cut patterns, but it is what it is. As soon as I see a few positive reviews, I'll order one. This 68 year old woman, who's tired of mowing half an acre of steep slopes, says thank you.

    Hi, I have the model 1 & loaded the sofware upgrade about 4 weeks ago. However, after this upgrade, the Scheduling changed for the worse. I can now schedule only 1 day per week for each of 3 zones. i.e. I schedule zone 1 for Monday 1pm. If I then try to schedule same for Tuesday, Monday drops off!
    Luba have promised an upgrade to resolve this but 4 weeks and no upgrade yet. Before the prior mentioned upgrade, the Scheduling worked perfectly!

    Hello! I would love for you to test the Yarbo grass module. It works all year round, even for snow removal. Equipped with cameras, sensors and RTK systems, it navigates smoothly and avoids obstacles. It can handle large surfaces and has strong performance. Highly recommended for both summer and winter use.

    You might want to do a Yuka review (Which should I buy and why). Here is a great place to start. It seems the only differences in the Luka models are simply feature withholding like speed of mowing and the in-app area storage capacity. I don't like it but I understand the business model. Like Tesla. There must be battery size differences but this is unclear on their site. Here is a good list of questions that should be in their FAQ: 1) in fact is everything (other than the battery) the same on the Luka models - the motor, etc? 2) Since the Yuka 1500 mows only .37 of an acre, could not the Yuka just return to it's station and recharge and then go back out again immediately and hit another zone? If that's the case why not just get the Yuka 600 making multiple runs to recharge on even larger lawns - like 2 acres? 3) How long do the batteries live (number of full mows)? 4) What is the cost to replace each battery - per size? 5) if the mower needs maintenance are there authorized dealers or would I be required to ship it back to the manufacturer? 6) What would one be able to expect for longevity? Is there a rating of total meters mowed before it's worn out? 6) How long do the batteries take to recharge between mowings? 7) The water detection is cool but if you have the mower in a little garage it wouldn't know not to mow. Is this correct or am I missing something? 8) Can it be refurbished when it needs it or is it a throw away? Cost to refurb?

    The omni wheels are not good for yards like mine with steep inclines where it needs to turn. Ends up digging up those areas and then jamming up the rollers.
    Also concerned that mammotion is now not updating luba 1 user firmware anymore.
    Just started using my 3000 again this year and was surprised that there wasn't an update.
    They definitely need to still improve on the support side. Also, I'm seeing a lot of people waiting for their luba 2 order.
    Update: I stand corrected on the no update comment. My app didn't auto update I noticed while watching this video. Once I updated the app, there was a firmware update. But still, I heard some mention they seen to be not addressing luba as much anymore.

    In fact, what we see in all the test videos of wireless installations is that the lawn mower robot is being tested on a very flat lawn. In fact, we would rather see how the lawn mower works when there are obstacles, such as many trees or other obstacles on the lawn. Can the lawn mower robot cleverly avoid obstacles?
    We also want to see if the GPS wireless signal of the machine will be affected under the shade of trees. In cloudy conditions, such as many dark clouds. Will the GPS signal also be affected? Speaking of which, can machines go out to work on rainy days? These are all very important, and if the machine can only cut grass on sunny days, there will be many restrictions
    If there is a swimming pool on the lawn and the lawn has a certain slope to the pool, there is a certain slope. Will the lawn mower robot fall into the swimming pool uncontrollably under the influence of gravity?
    All the tested lawns are very ideal, but what we would prefer to see in such a high priced robot is that it does not require wiring, but can it achieve more powerful functions beyond that?
    Can anyone who has actually used this Luba robot give real feedback?

    Been waiting for the 2.5 acres capabiity and the under tree connectivity problem to be fixed. Looks like it has been with the LUBA 2. With a lot of trees on my property, I have a lot of small twigs/branches falling from the trees and am concerned that the LUBA 2 might have too many problems with them if I can't always pick them up. Curious if the star blade that the Ambrogio uses might be better for my lawn. Don't believe the Ambrogio would fix the under tree connectivity problem thousgh What do you think?

    Hi, we're looking for a robo mower for use on a campsite.
    It would mow the caravan & camping pitches and various paths that wind & meander around the 10-12 acre site (total mowed area would be no more than an acre or two)
    Would ideally like the mower's API to be linked to the booking system so its work areas can be automatically updated and it knows not to mow pitches that are currently booked/occupied.
    Also, as the paths are all winding curves, are there any options where the mower can mow an area by mowing parallel curving lines from the outer boundaries moving inwards (rather than mowing the boundaries then doing parallel straight lines to fill it in).
    ....or some way to upload pathing data which has been created manually.
    Are there any current offerings that fit the bill?

    • @DEADB33F
      @DEADB33F 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Also, which manufacturers have best spare parts availability should something break out of warranty or due to accidental damage (not covered by warranty)?

    • @AutmowRoboticMowing
      @AutmowRoboticMowing  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sounds like you have quite the property to manage! I'll try and weigh in on some of the caveats you've outlined.
      In regard to the API, the current and best candidate would probably be Husqvarna 500 series. They have fleet monitoring and their app is IFTTT compatible so you may be able to build in a rule to accommodate this. I won't say for certain because without testing the exact need there could be a limitation around it. The caveat here is that you would be limited to 2WD wireless from Husqvarna at this point in time.
      As for boundary mowing, different wireless units from our manufacturers will typically make a pass or 2 at the beginning or end when mowing that zone, but I don't believe at this time you can dictate how many boundary passes it takes. That said, it could be a matter of setting up multiple zones and assigning different schedules and patterns to them to accomplish what you are looking for. I hope that helps.
      There is no way to upload data created outside of the mowers ecosystem (app/operating system). So to your final question, there is nothing currently available that meets all of the criteria out of the box. There are always creative and interesting solutions we hear about and find all the time from customers. Thanks for the comment.

    Not necessarily a high tech guy but I am still concerned about Luba2 ability to mow under significant trees. There is another youtube producer that has a Luba 2 and he still loses position along hedges. I wish Mammotion would come out and define what their ability is under dense shade. Kowoll and Hookii have LIDARSLAM and can mow under dense shade and this appears to be the best solution. Mammotion still seems to vague to trust its ability to not lose position. Everything else about Luba 2 seems really great. Great video by the way.

    Also, it hates wet grass - it becomes clogged with grass underneath that has to be cleared. I also have a perimeter wire Husqvarna that operates 14 hours per day, rain hail and shine with no clogging or complaints. Downside is 2wd model will not do some of the slopes that the Luba does.

    Air Tags are not good theft tracking devices, because they are not meant to be. They are intentionally designed to be easily discovered if they don't belong to the person near it, to protect privacy. If the person has an iPhone, they will be alerted that an Air Tag is near them. There is also an Android app to do the same.
    If you are going to end up paying for a dedicated LTE data plan for the Luba, you might as well invest in a real cellular based tracking device. Luba would be smart to include the service with the purchase or at least offer the customer a low cost plan.

    I wanted luba but the 70mm max cut height stopped me. With luba 2 H the max cut height of 100mm was just enough so I bought. Happy so far. One thing... the new roller type front wheels are kind of a drawback when traversing steeper slopes... the front constantl drifts down the slope... the machine corrects but it is slow going and erratic. But that is really only an issue, in my case, while it mows the perimiter.

      Thanks for the comment! It's a fair question. Yes, the biggest difference between the smallest and largest models is the battery capacity. There are some differences in the memory available and software between the models as well. At the end of the day there is always internal company information that is not shared with us so my certainty on especially in regard to software. And yes, the exterior between the models is thankfully the same (with the exception of the standard and high cut). I say thankfully because that means there are fewer parts and caveats when components are shared.

That said, and mentioned in the video, an airtag or similar product could help with that concern. And you can always remove the security key when not in-use. So far as open APIs go, unfortunately no, there is no open API for custom tinkering (at least at this point in time).

      If you're a tech nerd, I most definitely think you will enjoy tinkering around with getting it set up. That goes for all wireless robotic mowers. The Luba 2 does have smart home integration and the Husqvarna EPOS provides a range of IFTTT commands that might help you get a little more into it. Being that you are in a city plot, buildings an obstacles might play a bigger role in where you place the reference station for optimal performance.

      Yes, I've read of people using 3d party hardware to do that. Like the dog wearing a trigger for it's doggie door, you have a sender on the mower that triggers a sensor on the fence as it gets within range and triggers the auto open device you connect it to.

    I have two zones that total approximately 0.35 acres. Should I get the 1000 or 3000? What determines the 0.25 acre performance? Battery capacity to mow 0.25 acre at one time?

    • @AutmowRoboticMowing
      @AutmowRoboticMowing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the question. Yes, the limitation of the mowers are determined based on area covered in a certain amount of time which is affected by area per charge vs charge time. Most of those times are within 24 hours.
      With that said, the total obstacles, layout and slope can impact performance. For .35 acres, I would recommend the larger battery 3000 over the 1000 for that size. Not over-extending the products capabilities is likely to lead to better overall finish as it can easily manage the area and less wear and tear on the product as it will not be working as hard to manage. With the Luba models, the price differences make the decision easier than some other manufacturers.

    • @AutmowRoboticMowing
      @AutmowRoboticMowing  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the comment and question. I'm glad you have some reservations around the signal integrity and are doing your due diligence. Unfortunately there's not a "kit" that can replicate the operation of the mower and reference station. You can always look into some GNSS tracking apps to get an idea of the constellations over your area and the strength of them throughout the day, but it will fall short of truly representing the operation of the mower. If you'd like, head over to the website and fill out a contact form and our sales team can have a look at your lawn and give their assessment based on previous customers. Or, if you have an Autmow location near you, reach out and schedule a demo and see if they can bring one by. Wish I had a more definitive answer for you, but I hope that helps some. Thanks!

    As owner of this model 1 it is a bit harch to trust this manufacturer how good really this model 2 would be. as with model 1 they forgot to tell that it only works in wide open areas and there could be no trees at all! I have quite normal yard, where yard itself does not have trees, but surrounding areas does. So what happens is that Luba is constatly loosing signal and stopping and, I would say its bad coding, as it can not recover after it looses it signal.I think they do have some problems with GPS receiver or i know (working with mobile phones) that antenna technic is very challenging and recource consumig to optimize) What i see in outside of model 2 they still have same basic design faults in place. Like putting those cutting blades exactly side by side is forcing them to leave some space there that all you can see in end result as Luba leaves a stripe behind, if you are trying to utilize this whole 40 cm cutting area, which is another false advertising due to this problem. Blades should be running more in diagonal position so you could have some overlapping with the blades itself. Another very important and very easy fault to fix would be that they would alternate the spinning direction of blades. I did try to tell them about these flaws they are carrying, but as evveryone knows they have about 1,5 months delay on customer service and then you get some copy paste phareses back so its not very effective. With spinning those blades everyother time to other direction you can double easily how long your blades last, as blades are double sided anyway. Or of course you can do swapping them around manually, but same thing could be done automatically with software. I dont understand why they insist modeling this as "formula 1" racing car? Instead they should model it so that it would be symmetrical, so that you can run it both directions. This is common mistake for all manufactruresrs at this point i think. By changing this you can add aroun 30 to 40% efficiency to unit when it does not need to run those lawn waring and tearing turns after each row instead they could just do little allingment and run next row, as thos blades dont care which way they are cutting do they. I think i had about 30 easy fixes written down after first season, but some how they did not want to improve model 1 intead they build another model and discontinued model 1. The ones that backed them up to get started in kickstarter where left with unfinish product with no support what so ever. i think this is not very good marketing tactic in internet decade where everyone can find real customer feedback for every product out there.

      Very common question (and similar Roomba experience from others). For the most part, they don’t care. And that can be good or bad. Best case is that it rolls over it and gets some on the blades and eventually rubs off from mowing. Worst case would probably be getting it packed into the cutting system where it won't quickly clean itself or packed into the wheels of some models. There are brush kits for certain products, but, for the most part, it will work itself off or you might have to lightly wash it every now and again. Unlike the sweeper, dog poo is supposed to be in yards and you likely won't notice it much more than you do now other than maybe disturbing it and "freshening up" the smell. Hope that answered your question!

    Is that a stereoscopic camera?

      It is indeed a dual sensor camera that provides accurate depth for obstacle avoidance and low signal operation.

    WTF.... Wouldn't be fair to show and test it??? Yet they are charging $ and shipping product? Oh, let's not forget the crap return policy.

      Yes for me, I want to see what they are doing for support. Last year many people got stuck with dead units due to water intrusion. They talk about the buttons and point of intrusion of water but what actually did they do. The reviewer said I think they improved it. How? And if not, what then?

      @@Scott-dn1bk I was all set to sell my Ferris 3200Z, but I wanted to ensure the Luba 2 worked well first. Checked the return policy - can't return once OPENED! What is this 1980's return policies? Hope they get surpassed by a big name with real support and sales policies.
